China gluing and new parts.
In this latest 2021 The China Repair Studio video, I will be gluing and placing in a new part with Milliput.
Join me and start learning the skills of ceramic, porcelain and pottery repair.
We will be covering equipment, adhesives, bonding, filling, sanding, painting and airbrushing.
We all have a broken piece of pottery, china or porcelain lurking in our cupboards which we can all recycle and reuse.
I have been a ceramic restorer for many years. most of my clients are private but I occasionally work with antique dealers.

How can I get this glue off this elephant please? I saw your video and I also cannot match the color This is for Manna house in Rincon GA Stuff people throw away..I try to fix so we can sale in the thrift store to make money to buy food we give away..I just volunteer there..but I hate to trash something I think can be saved. Can you help me help them?

I think maybe if you'd taken pictures before soaking the pieces apart, you'd know where the pieces went. Maybe they weren't supposed to be glued together if they don't fit now. They fit before somewhere. 🤔

If you put a piece of Masking Tape over the Lids keep Paint Fresh Till toyr Down with them

Could you use Baking Soda in stead Of titanium White

You can clean off Fresh Epoxy with a COTTON Bud dip in Achohal and the other side to wipe it off

I looked through your list of videos and do not see one on how to repair bone China. I have a PIA Phillipines napkin ring holder needing Repair. Will I need a different glue for repair? Can it be repaired? It seems to be a clean break. I hope you can see this message.

Hi Elvia, many thanks for your comment, it depends on the repair. If the napkin ring is completely broken in a couple or more pieces or if it has a radial crack. Both take different glues.

You had said something about molds to be used, where do you get them?

Moulds can be tricky to use, I would recommend Conservation Resources. Hope this helps.😃

Hi Jenny, I use Araldite which is slow to cure. I am just finishing my website (which should be finishes next week) there you will be able to source all products from America ext. Please let me know how you get on and thanks for watching. 😃

Spoiler alert: If the Milliput is too big, you can sand it.

You should always make it slightly larger so it can be sanded flush to the porcelain. 😃 Thanks for your comment and for watching. 👍
