China has always maintained that there is no one-size -fits-all recipe for progress. That has been what China is telling the US who is determined to export US style democracy to all nations in the world whether they like it or not. It is the reason why China never imposes their system to all those countries that they have soft power over. They recognize that what worked for China probably wont' work in another country because they have a different culture, history and midset. A nation should have a system that they tailormade for themselves.

China is a single party government. Only way to replicate them is end elections and give a single Party absolute Power. No elections allows Chinese political party to make policies for long-term decisions while in India political parties whether Congress or BJP only think about making sure they elected again. BJP is making some gains but only slightly better than Congress. In India people only chose BJP because the alternative is radical Islam and Marxism.

For WSJ to predict in late 80s that China will be bogged down by communism with no growth. I suspect the reason for this might be ignorance of American Capitalist education and it's skewed perspective on growth. India and China have always been the richest and most prosperous regions for millennia. Peaceful as well. America is only seeing money for the last 200yrs and now it's entire culture is based on Capitalism. Assuming that it's the only way for prosperity, the journalists, researchers, spokesman everyone views the world through that lens.

We were never the richest. One, larger economy doesn't equate to being rich. Two, ancient economy was a simplistic measure based on population size, not real production data as there were none. Reason WSJ got it wrong becoz they never thought communist state could transit to market economy and excel in it. Russia failed, Warsaw pact countries failed.

India cannot surpass China. As a Chinese, we think so. 1. China has strong internal cohesion, and the Chinese put national interests above their personal interests, but India does not have them; 2. China regards being invaded and colonized by the West in the past as a shame, while India still regards it as a glory, and India has lost itself; 3. Culturally, China has a truly unified language, a civilization that has been in the same line for 5,000 years, while India was a British colony that united India, and civilization and culture are not unified; certain religious cultures are the enterprising spirit that Indians have lost; 4. Equality, the reality of caste inequality in India has always existed, hindering internal unity, and the contradictions of different religions are irreconcilable. The Chinese subconsciously believe that people are equal. 5. Utilization of resources. India has entered a democratic society from a colonial society. Due to the education level of the population, it is difficult to adapt to the democratic system. The private ownership of various resources has become an obstacle to India's infrastructure; 6. Can't see yourself clearly. Indians can’t see their own strengths and weaknesses, they like to brag about themselves and show off. They have no sense of worry, and if they have a little achievement, they are complacent and forget about it; 7. Institutional issues. Emphasizing the advantages of its own democratic system, ignoring the shortcomings of the democratic system and the inconsistency with Indian culture. China is pragmatic and will not be shackled by ideology. As long as this system is conducive to the progress of the country and can bring a good life to the people, Is a good system; 8. Combatability. Indians are self-confident in the mystery, showing that they are too aggressive and making enemies, unable to get along with neighboring countries, and they think they love peace the most. China follows the principle of “do not do to others what you do not want to do to others”. Everything will be considered from the other side’s point of view. 9. Planning. China's policy is forward-looking and strives to be implemented as planned, and never changes day by day. In India, different parties have different plans when they come to power. In the end, there are a lot of plans, and few can persist in achieving it; this is also a shortcoming of the democratic system. 10. The people's hard work. The Chinese are very hardworking, not greedy for pleasure, and proud of hard work. In Indian culture, because of religious reasons, the emphasis on spiritual enjoyment is also one of the reasons that hinder India's progress. The above is just a personal opinion, if there is something wrong, please correct me.

The rest depends on the change. These are the basic criteria initially to build its basic foundation before proceeding to the next step towards advancement. Found this article quite interesting. Worth sharing. The fact is China education system is built for the prosperity of China while Indian education system is built for prosperity of the Western world. 'English' language is the measurement of someone's intellectual capability in India. British left in 1947 but their impact is still in place. As someone who lived in India for 6 years, i saw many division among people in regards to culture, religion etc. Some parts like Nagaland have 'AFSPA' imposed under which military can do whatever they want to the public on the basis of suspicion without the fear of accountability. People of Nagaland are not happy and want to seperate from the mainland. This is just one example. Indian government needs to do lot of work to unite the people. British took advantage of the social division and looted 45 trillion worth of resources from India and enslaved the country for 200 years. Indians need to do work for the prosperity of their country instead of pairing up with the Americans and British against China. -Russian Roulette, •, 1 day ago Yeah China trains legions of workers, engineers and scientist to make products so that they can profit. While India trains legions of workers, engineers and scientists only for them to immigrate to US or other western countries. No wonder there are so many Indian scientists in Silicon valley. There are also high number of Doctors, Engineers and tech experts of Indian Origin in US, UK, Australia etc. What is Indian government doing wrong here? -Russian Roulette Why China is more developed than India kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5ndeql9ia15rLc 🐼

I think what has made India until now has not been able to maximize and unleash its full potential is that after independence from British, India fell into a colonial mindset, maybe from the outside India clearly has a very rich indigenous culture but in governing India is too attached to what is outlined by western culture

Ok so they were unconventional, economists were totally wrong about them in fact they predicted the opposite, this kind of makes me feel that economists need to get their shit together and should be able to analyze the market better so that general public will gain confidence in them.

Population Control,Education, Heathcare,Technology and Infrastructure should be our focus but unfortunately we are more focused on useless issues that only benefits the political parties and not the common people.Instead of demanding for better schools and colleges, affordable and advanced healthcare facilities, public toilets, roads and electricity we are busy becoming fools at the hands of politicians be it rightwìng or leftwing.Raise your voice and ask for a better future of your kids.Water scarcity is scary and peope suffer so much but we are not going to raise our voices for that.
