China NOW! Disaster Strikes China! Bridge Collapsed, Shiba River failure! flooding in Baoji, Shaanxi
The city of Baoji in Shaanxi Province, China, faced a triple whammy of natural disasters in July 2024. A perfect storm of events began with the catastrophic failure of the Shiba River dam, triggering devastating floods that swept through the region. As if this weren’t enough, the already beleaguered city was further impacted by the collapse of a major bridge.
Homes, infrastructure, and agricultural land were submerged as the floodwaters surged with immense power. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to assist those affected and to mitigate further damage.
The subsequent flooding caused widespread destruction across Baoji and neighboring areas. Countless homes were destroyed or severely damaged, forcing thousands to seek refuge in temporary shelters. Critical infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and power lines, suffered significant damage, disrupting essential services and hindering relief efforts. Adding to the city’s woes, a major bridge collapsed in the midst of the crisis. The collapse further isolated communities and hindered rescue and relief operations.

C’est terrible ce qui arrive en Chine , j’espère qu’il n’y aura pas trop de victimes ! Les dégâts matériels sont déjà énormes et après il faut réparer et nettoyer ! J’ai mal pour mes frères Chinois, je suis Français j’ai connu les inondations à petite échelle.
