it is very irritating the way China scolded/reprimanded PBBM just because he greeted the new Taiwan Pres., Taiwan is a neighbor and they elected a new Pres. successfully, is it, not a reason to congratulate them? PBBM has the manners to acknowledge the success of others, and we happen to have a good neighborliness attitude. Did they hear anything bad from PBBM when they entertained our former Pres. and shown to the world w/o permission from our gov. w/c appeared like an official visit. Our constitution guarantees us the right to speech, the right to an opinion, etc.

Good grief! It is China's leaders who should read BOTH history books AND math books! Look, the facts are clear. The ROC in Taiwan was established (on January 12, 1912) long before the PRC was established on October 1, 1949. Hence, the ROC predates the PRC by 37 years! Hence, there is no need for the ROC in Taiwan to declare independence! Btw, what's wrong with the Philippine president congratulating the ROC president-elect? The president of the Philippines is a sovereign head of state and shouldn't be scolded like this! This is insulting! Many democratic countries (i.e., congratulating) have been doing that for years! Besides, Taiwan is the nearest neighbor of the Philippines to the north. Congratulating like this is what democracies do; it's what good neighbors do! Yeah, the PRC should stop making a fuss and brush up on both history AND math!

Cause the new president of the Phils saw that China can't keep his promises. He saw that during the Duterte Admin, Pres Duterte befriend China to make South China Sea a peaceful region. China talks peace & stability but in contrast...they are the one bullying weaker countries. Don't follow international rules/laws. Violates other nations' sovereignity.
