Well the good news is that most China analysts are ALWAYS wrong about China 😆

Yeah that's what they said about China's space station, car manufacturing, high speed trains, 5G, stealth fighter, GPS

Well, the west analysis on China is no better...if yes, China should had collapse 10 years ago

The one thing I would say is to never bet against China. China has not made the effort to develop semiconductors with the same dedication as they are now. China will eventually catch up and then surpass the West and I expect it will happen fairly quickly. If it really is about "bright people" China has the best. More than 50% of the people working on AI right now are from China; about 38% of the Americans working on AI were born in China. That's not going to be an issue.

the fact is US does not even have any advanced chip technology, US can not even make 14nm chip, they have to buy from TW, but china can produce 5nm now, and china has account for more than 80% legacy chip manufacture
@noobnoob5072Ай бұрын
My understanding is that yes china is making headway. But still china has a loong way. Before they catch up to other player. As they want to be independed of any player. That's going to be really difficult to do.

95% of the time, these "experts" end up being wrong about anything related to China; it's becoming incredibly ridiculous.
@araara4746Ай бұрын
If you remember how the US used to ban China from getting involved in the ISS, it's really ridiculous that they still think that the US won't be able to catch up in microchips. They argue that illitography machines for producing microchips are more complicated than building a space station. So according to them the Netherlands, which cannot build its own space station, can build a lithography machine, while China, which can build a space station, cannot build a lithography machine? Ridiculous.
@teckmenglee8060Ай бұрын
Yep. Now USA will have no chance to participate in the China Space Station.
@LanNguyen-vd4ztАй бұрын
That because the Russian, you Chinese didn’t built that space station. Everyone know that

China is different from other countries. If any country can entirely have a semiconductor and IC chip equipment supply chain entirely domestically based, it is China.
@ZakaiusАй бұрын
😅😅. - China now got its own Space Station When ISS rejected Chinese participation. - Elon Musk laughed at a question on TV when asked if Chinese EVs will be an international brand. Now BYD over took Telsa as number 1 EV manufacturer. Huawei. Solar panels. HSR The list goes on 😅

Western chip manufacturers have been growing steadily due to profit from Chinese market. If now they can't sell, their growth will also slow down, therefore easier for China to catch up.

well, Huawei latest phone is beating Apple with a Chinese made 5 nm chip !!! Do they need the latest chip to be competitive ? But, but imagine what happens when they catch up, watch out !!!

I'm sorry but what is the west ? Any map in the world shows you that taiwan is located in the region of china and they are the ones who create the chips

According to the US foreign policy, they recognize Taiwan is a part of China. PRC govt is the only govt representing China

Wonder how many devices in your home which require high-end chip like your high end phone like 3nm or lower!!!!! And to play high computation games on your phone!!!! Most importantly to pay top dollars just to have a phone but not actually using it fully and essentially.

Though China is innovating more strongly than the US and faster moving generally, I think the US will hold out for longer than some think. Long term - yes, China will be technologically a lot stronger than the US, however I still think the US will hold out for a few more years, before they significantly fall behind.
