China's coast guard intercepted a Taiwanese tourist vessel in the Strait's Kinmen island region yesterday (February 19, 2024). Chinese troops allegedly harassed the crew of this ship. Taiwan accused China of triggering "panic" among tourists. Beijing has increased patrolling around Taiwan's waters. Will Beijing's aggression lead to further escalations in tensions with Taipei?
