Wow Comac will deliver 50 C919 this year. The current C919 fleet has already been flying thousands passengers in China. Boeing's 737max is now being phased out and replaced by C919. China's travel market is expanding rapidly and Comac's future is secured as China air has become the launching customer for its wide body C929 aircraft. Comac has come into the civil aviation industry to stay and expand to take away Boeing's and airbus' market share world wide.

The USA not given licence to Comac, to fly to USA. Now worries, Africa, West Asia, Latin America, Europe and South East Asia markets are big enough.

FAA/CAA reciprocity means that CAA certification automatically allows US (and EU flights). Comac simply doesn't make enough planes for it to matter at this time.

50 aircraft in a year is not a lot when Airbus produces 50+ monthly, but it's a good start. Better that Comac starts slow and gets the plane and process right instead of delivering low quality product like Boeing.

100 a year means a global fleet of 3000 in the life span of 30 years. certainly not enough. why "ideally"? Ideally should be 100 per month.

Ideally, Comac builds 100+ planes monthly, for China and other non-US, non-EU markets.

During the ramp up, Comac needs to focus on both build speed and quality control with aim of increasing output further. There are over thousand units on the order book. 50 per year would require 20 years production run. That is too long a time.

There are no doubts that Comac could deliver 100 aircraft, as China is the world's factory. In 2024 Janet Yellen accused China of having factories that are overcapacity, which means that the Chinese can produce products faster and much cheaper than the rest of the world. As a result, NATO has failed to decouple from China, which indicates that Chinese manufacturing has surpassed NATO in a lot of areas. There is a significant improvement since COMAC started in 2008, and in 2025, it could produce 100 aircraft, which is certainly something to marvel at.

It is about time the Western duopoly was challenged. The Russian MC 21 will add to the competition when it is introduced. It's arrival has been delayed because of American sanctions, which prohibited American engines for the MC 21. The Russians are now developing theif own, and are reported to have made good progress in its development. Very likely those engines could fit the 919, also.

50 pesawat dalam setahun? Sungguh lawakan paling lucu. 🥵
