China’s Green Development Shock the World! The Chinese Architect Build House Only with “Bamboo”?

"Bamboo" is one of the representative symbols of Chinese culture and plays an important role in global sustainable development. At the main venue of the 2024 Chengdu World Horticultural Expo, senior architect Liu Weibing and his daughter brought us a pavilion made entirely of bamboo. By combining innovative design with traditional materials, they showcased China's efforts and achievements in sustainable development.

Visit green school in Bali. The school and all furniture was made with bamboo!

Steel pillars is cheating. Bamboo is totally suitable for weight bearing pillars, if one knows how to properly treat and engineer.

The building style is rather rudimentary relative to the state of the art such as found at the BambooU. The open construction also fails to address the most central challenge for bamboo as a building material, that of making hermetically sealed walls to prevent convective heat transfer for applicability in cold and hot environments/seasons.
