I seriously don’t understand why KZbin continues to punish its most prominent creators that upload studio-level productions. This was another great video by you guys, I hope you’re all looking forward to the upcoming holidays! Wishing you the best from Canada. Edit: Censoring the truth and our history is a mistake we have made as a species many times over. This comment wasn’t supposed to be political, but it’s shameful KZbin and their advertisers prioritize profit, instead of propping up its creators who produce amazing educational/informative content on all subjects.

If you’re China when it comes to military build up you’re stuck in a dilemma. If you build up your military of course your rivals aren’t going to like that. But if China doesn’t build up its military then it can be exploited by others. This isn’t even speculation, just look at China during the 1800s and 1900s. Warlords took control of the country, foreign powers established their spheres of influence, British opium planted in India flooded their black markets, and then of course Japan invaded numerous times. In other words, if China builds up its military it will be called a threat and if it doesn’t it will be threatened.
@Apple.CC.technomail
@Apple.CC.technomail Жыл бұрын
There could be a simpler solution though. For example, instead of an aggressive build up they could try a steady and slow military buildup. Diplomatically speaking, aggressive wolf warrior tactics isn’t really helping them. Having a friendly and looking as non threatening as possible for as long as possible would’ve given them more time.

So many many mistake.Chinese volunteers have been described as relying on numerical superiority to defeat powerful enemies, but this is wrong. In fact, looking up the data, we can find that after excluding the Korean army, the war damage of the United Nations is still higher than that of the Chinese volunteers. And, after Dr. Gatlin's gadget, the crowd tactic has been proved to be useless. What is even more terrifying is that in the early stage of annihilating the intrusive regiment of the US military, the Communists were only armed with rifles, explosive cartridges and wooden grenades, and most of the soldiers were not even equipped with cotton-padded clothes (this caused a company of infantry to freeze to death in an ambush position, allowing an American army to escape). Now, OP is almost yelling at you on the loudspeaker, attacking the Communists is no different from eating a plate of French fries.

Great general rundown of China's modern military. The 2049 target to be a "world class military" was a general target, it has most kirkt been pushed forward due to USAs and the wests continued aggressive actions against China. From chip bans to Aukus/Quad to more military bases in Philippines etc. USAs increased aggression has forced China to respond and likely speed up its modernization. Just like China moved forward it's space program, especially the moon base. It used to be like 2040-2050, now pushed forward to around 2030-2040. So they will have started building moon base by 2030 at latest and continue building it over the following decade/s.

I hope Indians can read carefully and experience with their hearts. The huge difference in the founding of China and India determines the biggest difference between India and China. Just look at the modern history of both countries and you will understand. India has been colonized by Britain for more than 200 years. In 1947, Britain experienced World War II, its strength declined significantly, and its status was replaced by the United States. India achieved independence through non violent and non cooperative means. In other words, India's independence has not undergone the test of blood and fire. Such an independent country lacks cohesion, willpower, and a sense of national identity. Now let's talk about China. Since the British defeated the corrupt and incompetent Qing government in 1840, the Chinese people have been living in dire straits. Various disasters and wars followed one after another. At that time, China was very poor and backward, suffering various humiliations. Including the cession of Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan becoming a Japanese colony, the Eight Nation Alliance setting fire to the Old Summer Palace, and subsequent Japan's comprehensive and brutal invasion of China. In 1931, Japan launched a full-scale invasion of China. From 1931 to 1945, the war lasted for 14 years. The Chinese military and civilians rose up to resist, fought with blood for fourteen years, and suffered 30 million casualties, ultimately achieving victory. Do you know why there are so many casualties in China? There are hundreds of reasons, and I will only give an example of one phenomenon: Chinese troops are in conflict with Japanese troops. Often, if the number of Chinese soldiers participating in the war is 100, they only have 20-30 firearms. The remaining soldiers did not give up resistance or surrender. They bravely fought against the Japanese machine guns and cannons with machetes, steel forks, and wooden sticks until they sacrificed themselves. This spirit of facing death as if returning home and never retreating is the Chinese spirit. 30 million casualties! Do you think this can happen in India? For India, it is zero casualties because their knees are soft. India will soon give up resistance. Do you know why there was the Nanjing Massacre? Due to the desperate resistance of the Chinese military and civilians, they will never surrender or give up. After Japan captured Nanjing, firstly to vent its anger, and secondly to scare off other Chinese soldiers and civilians in resistance. However, the Nanjing Massacre not only did not deter any Chinese people, but also further aroused the resistance of the Chinese people. The establishment of New China has gone through the test of blood and fire. Do you know why the Chinese national flag is red? That's because the establishment of New China was bought with the blood of countless Chinese ancestors, and we Chinese people will always remember it. From 1945 to 1949, during the Chinese Civil War, the Kuomintang fled to Taiwan. Originally, the Chinese people thought they could live a peaceful life they had longed for, but in 1950, the Korean War broke out, lasting three years. The Chinese People's Volunteer Army successfully resisted the northward route of the United States without air superiority, sea superiority, outdated army equipment, and extremely poor logistics, at the cost of losing hundreds of thousands of brave People's Liberation Army soldiers. As for India's unforgettable and shameful 1962 Sino Indian War, in the eyes of us Chinese, it was not a war at all. Firstly, it only took 32 days. Secondly, from 1959 to 1961, China experienced the most difficult three years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, during which many people starved to death. In 1962, India's economy far surpassed that of China. Both the United States, the Soviet Union, and Britain support India. At that time, India implemented a "forward policy" and attacked China with elite troops. We Chinese people really don't want to go to war. The Chinese troops that participated in the war with India in 1962 were ordinary border defense forces, not regular People's Liberation Army. In China, soldiers are known as the "cutest people". There is a Chinese proverb: without a country, there is no home, and soldiers are the backbone of the country. Thank you to our brave soldiers of the People's Liberation Army who are always ready to defend the borders of our motherland. No matter how India develops its military, it cannot surpass China. Whether in the past, present, or future, China can always defeat India. This is determined by the history and culture of both countries. Chinese people value the spirit of dedication and sacrifice. Do not surrender, do not surrender, vow to resist to the death, and face death as if returning on the battlefield. If Chinese soldiers surrender on the battlefield, it would be a great shame, and the spirit of dying rather than giving up is deeply engraved in the bones of every Chinese person. These are all things that Indians do not possess. So, even now or in the future, India will never be able to defeat China. Now, do you think India can stand tall in the world like China? Absolutely impossible.

In the Korean War, China, then a poor agrarian nation emerging from civil war, fought the world's largest industrial nation and pushed the US-led coalition of 17 nations from the Yalu River on the Chinese border back to its present 38th parallel, which is inconceivable. They had Soviet assistance, but only the air force, and Soviet assistance to the Chinese military was so reluctant that it was minimal. From how little the U.S. military and even Americans talk about the Korean War, we know who lost the war.

The US/UN only really lost 개성(開成), but saved South Korea as intended and even advanced in the eastern mountains. Plus the surprise success of the PVA only lasted a couple months until UN combined arms tactics got refined at 지평리(砥平里), afterward getting consistently beaten back until they were able to dig in for classic trench warfare at the line that splits the peninsula today. But sure continue to gloat about 장진(長津), where the outnumbered Americans escaped with practically all its serviceable equipment and organization intact and still had space to rescue over 80000 Korean refugees, while the PVA ultimately lost almost half its fighting strength and totally failed in its goals to destroy X Corps and conquer all of Korea.

8:03 This one, I feel is more of a case of mistranslation and a different cultural concept for how to classify 'army'. The word in Chinese is 'jun'. This somehow is translated to English to 'Army', which is not accurate since China classifies all top level military organizations to this word. So the more accurate translation should be 'military' or 'armed forces' which is exactly what they are. For comparison, see the Chinese names of the ROC military.

It's interesting to note the PLA conscription methods are very different from other countries, there's a 2 year initial conscription period for all males however after that period should you show potential you will be further required to serve 3 years, those who are selected for these additional 3 year periods are also honoured by a plaque provided to their families (these are full gold plaques screwed into the front doors of their residence usually with the words: "the domain of a soldier of the state" or similar)along with quite a decent salary (compared to other jobs in china), this results in highly motivated army personnel due to their earned income and respect given

Smart. Unfortunately for China though they're still far behind the West in terms of technology. Their most advanced equipment is based off stolen/copied Western designs and technology. Literally everything in their country is built around imported tech. They don't innovate in the same way the West has. We maintain a strong technological advantage. We're also highly experienced in warfare unlike them. So in the end: lots of people gonna die on both sides.

In China, military service is not mandatory. Imagine a country with a population of 1.4 billion, where every adult male is required to serve in the military for two years. That will generate an army with at least 30 million or more people - in fact, not so many people will be needed. Furthermore, voluntary military service does not necessarily mean that you will be selected. With the occurrence of major disarmament, the number of Chinese military personnel has been maintained at two to three million, and there are far more people willing to join the military - that is to say, if you want to join the People's Liberation Army of China, you need to go through a difficult assessment, and you need to achieve excellent results in all the assessments in order to become a People's Liberation Army. After two years of conscription, you can choose whether to stay or not at your own discretion. If you voluntarily choose to stay in the army, you can obtain that plaque. That plaque is written as "光荣之家" in Chinese,which means "Glorious Family" in English.

it's so interesting to me that america breezed through iraq in the 1990's so hard that made china rethink their entire doctrine

Yes, that's right. When I was very young, adults thought that the United States would be stuck in the Iraq War for at least three years. As a result, the war ended in one month. This shocked the Chinese people at that time, especially the electronicization of the United States. The war taught the People's Liberation Army a lesson. Later, the People's Liberation Army also realized the new trends in modern warfare and promptly carried out reforms and informatization development.😢

In Chinese PLA is 人民解放军, army is 陆军, navy is 海军, air force is 空军, so the "Army" in People's Liberation Army only stands for 军, which means "Armed Force".

@@christophermarkee5445 All of these are an artifact of the Chinese civil war where domestic chaos leads to weak control over those remote locations.
