Sir, the Bogibeel railroad bridge doesn't connect Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.. It connects the Dibrugarh dist and Dhemaji dist of Assam, making the journey much more shorter.. Previously ferries were used to cross the river. And in Vijaynagar there still is no road, the existing road is non-motorable and takes 10-15 days of walking to reach there, people of vijaynagar relies only on helicopters. So a packet of salt costs around Rs 100-150 there. Very pathetic conditions of our border areas.. Officers/ officials posted in vijaynagar visits it occassionally, they have their station at Miao,dist Changlang, which is the nearest town.

Whr India makes few km long tunnels & roads, China makes far superior long distance trains & roads. . While India's methods are almost same as in 1960s, China has better n bigger machines, latest technology & far more evolved methods of construction . Worse almost all infra development work near LAC had stopped in India since 1990s for the fear of Chinese. Even before 1990s very less work happened because India did not want trouble wt China. Its only in last few years that work has started in India while China has continued developing that area always. India has to catch up with at least 2 decades of intense work China has already done. The Chinese rail between Shenzhen and Guangzhou can also be spun as "strategic," but its primary functions are related to industry and tourism. To put this in even better perspective, the U.S. interstate highway system had its origins in the post-WWII Cold War, as a means for providing easy military mobilization in the event of an invasion. In fact, the original design avoided passing through cities; cities would have been connected by spurs off of the main routes. Of course, as it happens, today's functions of the U.S. interstate system are the same as the rail between Shenzhen and Guangzhou--industry and tourism. If the Chinese rail from Yaan to Nyingchi went only half the distance to be close to the Indian border, then India would have real cause to worry. But as it happens, China's commitment is to providing connectivity to all parts of China, providing greater ease of industry, trade and tourism. As it happens that Lhasa, Nyingchi and Yaan are close to India, this will actually ultimately result in increased trade opportunities between the two countries, especially as more Chinese tourists would have easier access to these northern regions of India. Similarly, it will be only a matter of time when, like the Silk Road rail that unites China with Europe, China and India join their rail lines to further expand peace and prosperity for the region.

@RechtmanDon
@RechtmanDon 4 жыл бұрын
@@thendino1 When I first came to China 13 years ago, I too believed that. Three months into my stay, I visited the Nanchang Uprising Memorial Museum in Nanchang, and realized that hey, maybe just as the U.S. gov't lied to us about the Viet Nam conflict and the Middle East, maybe Tibet was also a lie. I did my homework: Tibet was a caste state ruled by a theocracy consisting of 5% of the population. The remaining population was essentially enslaved by the top 5. What Beijing did was liberate the population from the theocracy, and has long since ensured a caste-free system of Tibetan Buddhism as well as other religions are protected in Tibet. Today's Tibetan population has never been wealthier, healthier, or better educated than they are today. Yet the Western media continues its hype, still ever hoping enough disruption might take place that the U.S. capitalist enterprises can profiteer on misfortune as has happened in just about every other place the U.S. has managed to infiltrate. In 2008, there was a riot in Lhasa. Western media in the U.S., Germany and Britain showed videos of Chinese military and police brutally beating up Buddhist monks. Just one problem with the video: it was not true. Not only was it not the Chinese military, it was a file video of Nepalese police beating up monks in Nepal! CNN et al got caught with the lie. There was one photo of police dragging a citizen into a police van. Wrong again! When you look at the uncropped photo, you see two Chinese medics helping an injured citizen into an ambulance. Summary: you'll need to come up with another example. HINT: similar explanations are ready for Xinjiang, the Sino-Indian War, Christian churches, Falun Gong, Tiananmen, and even the Cultural Revolution. Do let me know which explanations you're interested in...

Quite crisp & informative. But unless one is familiar with the area, it is hard to visualise it just with map. One aspect is clear, we are responding. How effectively, one has to see in action. Our projects may be a bit slow but robust. Hope we have an effective deterrent against any misadventure by our avaricious neighbour.

Whereas In India border road are bad and the villages in the border have no facility not even electricity.also I heard that China is connecting railway network from Lhasa to Kathmandu Nepal , project is now under construction

@Kitty Cat That is not true USA and India have been friends for longer after 9/11 India offered aid to the U.S and played a role in the death of osama bin laden even before that they’ve has a relationship, so If Biden can do that it will ruin his presidency’s reputation genius and the decision would cause so much internal strife not seen since the Vietnam war it could only escalate from there.

@arutech unfortunately china has money power, so it can speed up....when BJP took up India was already crippled with corruption, and internal political and religious problems...give them some time....they have already done a lot ,still need to do lot but will take time...your expecting the work which should have done in pat 20-25 years should be done in 5 years is so unfair....

You missed mentioning railway line from Lhasa to Shigatse which is completed long back, and is now further being extended to Kashgar in the west. Chinese well developed road/rail network along China-India is not necessarily aimed at militaristic objectives, rather more for economic development of the region through the Belt and Road initiative. Further, China is reportedly building a dam three times bigger than Three Gorges Dam on Yarlung river near Arunachal border, ensuring water security for China in view of impending climate change and fast melting Himalayan glaciers. This dam will curtail and dry up not only Assam, but also dry up sources of many north Indian rivers which originate from Himalayan range. China with Tibetan water tower in its occupation is strategically in strong position, to which India has little or no reply. As a whole, this looks to be a presentation from trite Indian bureaucrat.
