Halloween is one of the major sales day for the clubs in China. the cost of a door fee up to 300rmb per person , a table for 6-8 ppl costs 20k-30k in a Shanghai club

Wow, don't know where to start! I had no clue the Chinese were into Halloween but the youth have embraced the Gothic thing to a new level. There's something to please every age group. It's great to see the little ones enjoy it. Don't want to sound like a middle aged perv but there sure are some pretty 20 something ladies dressed up too. Another thing are the singers and musicians. Like everything else in China, there are very good. I recall listening to a little band live in I think it was Dali (or Lijiang). Playing a couple of Led Zeppelin tracks and the guitarist was honestly as good as any I had ever heard. My club of choice woulda been the 'orang-utan bunker' ! A 24 hr do it youself brewery/bar? That's novel

Absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed it and wish I'm with you on that day. I don't really like to go to these kinds of places but I'd like to see it. So thanks for sharing Alex. A little tips: the reason why it's called jiujie九街 is because it has the same pronouciation as jiujie酒街 which means alcohol street in English. But as you can see it's increasingly becoming a bars and pubs area. This area is still expanding and will be fully merged with Guanyinqiao area. Some interesting new projects are under construction. It will be more fun in the future. Of course there're some other bars and pubs areas in CQ like Jiaochangkou etc. but Jiujie is the biggest cluster so far. @alex, seems like you prefer some calmer places, but do you prefer jiujie in CQ or nana in BKK?
