As a lvl c5-c6 quadriplegic , I wish they would use this tech and build an affordable exoskeleton. The A.I function is already implemented and the robot balance itself . By making it a wearable suit and giving the command , walking and giving improved mobility would be easily achievable. Everything is there. Just make it a wearable exoskeleton.

And yet in the end US military bought Chinese robots instead of using Boston dynamics spot robot dog. You can have 1 usa robot at 100% or you can have 100 Chinese robot at 90%. The extra 10% is not useful in practical application at all and is just bonus fluff. Same with USA military using DJI drones. Why aren't Ukraine and Russia and everyone else using American drones? They aren't even way way better. They are worse quality and function with double the price. When even us military who's known for it's waste and corruption admits this and buys and uses dji drones, you know you already lost.

@@CastleKnight7 Well, the idea of "uploading" the consciouness has been a thing of science fiction for a long time. But I am not sure if that is a real possibility. Also, how will the uploading process work? Only after you have passed, or can you upload it into a robot AND still be alive. In which case it is not YOU that live on, but a copy of you. And if you can copy an entire mind, what's to stop anyone from putting the copy into multiple robot bodies? Which is you then? Finally, I am not convinced that I actually want to live forever. Live longer than normal, sure, but forever is a very long time.

Seeing as none of these technological advances hit the market before hitting the military first, we probably already have thousands of these in their 3rd or 4th generation build and they can control it with a brain chip like what Elon is doing.
