I think it is irrelevant to Compare India and China. Both have some strength and some weakness. It is the Western diplomats, intellectual and journalist who are very passionate to pit India against China and vice-versa. Though both country confronted each other in 1962 and their border disputes are yet to be resolved, their are far move promising areas where they can coordinate and benefit jointly. Whole Europe was a battle ground for larger part of first half of 20th century yet they subsumed their differences and emerged as a one block to maximize their interest. India and China should take lesson out of it. They will be best serving the Asia as a whole, which is poised to emerge as the power centre in 21st century, if they swim together. Thanks.

Two things: 1. Who wears a suit in the middle of the summer in a steel plant :P 2. Try schools in rural parts in Kerala.

India's problems r far far more than china , as a democratic and a secular nation. we have so many different types of ppl, communities to satisfy .every other day we have protests ... every other day we have political fights.. add to it .. communal clashes..terrorism .. ..corrupt practises.. India is truly the most difficult country to Govern ,.If we stil manage to overtake China inspite of these roadblocks.. then surely I will say its a Miracle .

the world upside donw. Two of the most traditionally spiritual cultures of the world striving for economic power, whereas in America more and more people are trying to meditate, practice yoga and grasp a different understanding of life. Irony.

I'm Indian... India yes has a lot of problems to tackle... Such as.... Business growth opportunities.... Complete commodity independence.... Reduction of corruption in business... De merging business and politics..... And infrastructure development .... China has been better in most of these issues yes..... But once more industries come up in India... China will have a very hard time to compete with us... Because Indian population is huge and will thereby accelerate economic growth faster than China.

I'm Indian and i do not feel any shame to accept it now that china is far ahead than India in terms of economy and industries growth but how far it would go next and how fast India can catup up it? thats a question . as india is changing rapidly after elected new pro-business government(BJP) with vast majority . and India is a most young country in world now with 55% population under 35 age, having a world class education system and skilled labour class majority.

No doubt...India has a huge potential but, It's strength it's youth power should be channelized, it's villages are to be empowered to achieve growth. It should rise above the caste based politics...it's the right time

well the ultimate goal is same but the methods are different....both have their plus and minus points...no offence but people stop discriminating against one another.....what an outsider sees is very little...and no judgement as none know the truth....time alone can tell....and isn't the ultimate goal is making life better for everyone....so we can enjoy and live luxuriously..??? aren't everyone in the world working for the same...development of individual and the world at large...so why fight each other....lets all learn from each other and try to improvise in better way then ever seen before......

A little curious about when was this video being made. It makes me laugh that the speaker worries so much the well being of the Chinese interviewees because of their "free speech". Watch out, Chinese are giving up English as a major subject in primary school soon as far as I know. LOL

I am a Chinese guy living in Australia working in a company with lots of Indian and Chinese people In my view: India people usually take higher positions (managers, Sr. Engineers)than Chinese guys. But their skills are usually lower than Chinese colleague. India guy usually boost themselves they are good of this and that. In China, people are told you never to be good. the only thing is working harder than ever. So most of time, you wont often see a Chinese guy saying I am an expert of. I don't agree that Chinese people are just doing imitation, no renovation. if that were the case, how Chinese sent the people to space walking. Got the technology from India? I do commit Chinese people need to do much more renovation than imitation. I think the difficult things China meet are: 1. Government Corruption, 2. overpolluted environment 3. lack of religion. If these three problem could be resolved, the only rival for China is US, not India
