As one who has spent a career of nearly 33 years involved in boiling water to do work for both a school system and a power company - I doff my hickory - striped engineer's hat to the men in the cabs of these cranky, cantankerous, obstinent , dangerously leaky, pieces of equipment!! Kudos to the men in the cabs of these old vessels in their ability to get everything over the road without the boilers blowing up due to low water!! You can hear the excessive wear in the connecting rod joints at the crankpins of the drivers on the engines as they pass by - as well as all the unnecessary steam leaks. Great skill, and intestinal fortitude on the part of the engine crews in this great video!!

l agree! Super vid. Brings back early childhood memories of "doubleheaders" in the U.S. in Ohio in the mid 1950's!!
