Fwiw, I've installed 5 er9 groups. All been flawless. Haven't ridden in the rain, people have had success with liquid electric tape around the RD plug to seal it. Everybody seems to have the new version with springs and not tabs in the battery. That was causing the group to die / go to sleep for no reason. The other problem for some is weather proofing, and this liquid tape thing seems to work. I don't think anybody has had problems beyond that. Bearing in mind that most people who install these groups are individuals who don't really know what they're doing, me included. Point being: I am very happy with my L-TWOO er9.

@@heksogen4788 ERX is $720 on pandapodium. i think you're being conservative with those prices, add ~$350 as you said for the drivetrain and rotors, thats $1070 for the full groupset, or ~750-800 if you get er9 on sale and cut corners on the crankset. that's great and all, but i can often find FULL 105 di2 for 800-900€ on sale.... why would i even choose ltwoo at this price?
@qwertyazerty21379 ай бұрын
Ltwoo has an issue with their qc and assembly. I had two gr9 groupsets in a row with the same problem of left lever bleed port bolt overtightened to the point at which it does not budge and you end up stripping its head. And their customer service is rubbish. I asked them to check these ports before shipping but they refused saying it's already checked, but apparently it's not. Also the quality of these bolts is rubbish. Firstly the metal is too soft if you can easily stripp its head. Secondly, the heads are badly machined as there is too much play for the allen key to fit tighlty enough to engage and loosen the bolt, but it wouldn't be a problem if they weren't tightening them so hard in the first place. I returned the first groupset with free shipping andgl got a full refund although nobody reimbursed me the customs. With the second groupset I managed to loosen the bolt with a torx bit and asked ltwoo to send a replacement bolt because I think this one will get stripped eventually. Still waiting for their response... And this is not just me or just the gr9. I saw one review of e9 groupset on ali where the buyer had the same problem.

If I'm spending a chump change on a gruppo I expect cut corners. But as Ltwoo try and compete with more expensive kit, they can't get away with it. I won't be touching their higher end stuff for the foreseeable future.
@qwertyazerty21379 ай бұрын
@@tubularmonkeymaniacyep, I think that with all these hydraulic groupsets it is a gamble you have to account for. With the mechanical groupsets, both road and mtb I think they are worth the risk as they are really dirt cheap. I've had their R5 shifters for 3 years now and they are all fine. Same partiallt with the AX 11 speed mtb groupset. All fine expect for the shifter who's clamp bolt snapped for no reason half a year after purchase but it was an easy fix. With such faults you can see where they are cutting corners to compete with price.

Looks interesting... One question (actually 2): is the brake compatible with existing Shimano calipers??? what I mean is can I just buy an pair of levers and RD and FD, put them on, and then I'll have wireless electronic shifting with the same old actual brake??? The second question is how safe in your opinion as of the "Brake"??? You know the worst of worst is a break failure when you going down hill at car speed... I had one when I accidentally ran out the brake pads, it's just so scary... that when it's metal-on-metal there's basically no stopping power! I managed to a stop luckily with my foot and other brake, almost crash into the corner, which is the side of the mountain... Though this is human error but it's just to show how critical the brake is... How do you think these products (including the other similar brand, forget the name) will hold in a day to day, sub 0 winter to 40C summer, year over year, seriously hard use situation??? Would these brakes last just as Shimano ones and Sram ones, which is basically forever for average rider, or is it somewhat skeptical, or at least nobody has ever "tested"??? It's funny though that I actually have 0 concern of the electronic shifting part, it's just step motor easy stuff... Well but for the hydraulic brake part... I don't know why I just don't have the confidence, and I actually live in China... 🤣Maybe it's the experience of too many years with "Chinese Quality" leaves a huge shadow over the now better stuff???...
