Best negotiation game I've played. Everything's on the table, anything goes, and it still has a nice structure and timer. I didn't realize there was a better way to play Bootleggers until I played Chinatown -- totally changed things for the better (as far as Bootleggers goes).

Awesome video! It is indeed a great game that holds up well even today! Love the Wrestlemania reference!

Enjoyed the vid! I’ve always wanted to add this one to my collection but it can’t be played with 2, so I’ve never bothered.

Is there a 2 player variant?

This would make a nice play through. Noticed you did one with Cosmic Encounter so feel like there’s scope for this one in the future?

Dang... saw this as deal of the day on cool stuff inc but passed it up because people were saying Bohnanza is better. Have you tried that one and what do you think is better?

Thank you for the review, my group is typically 3 players, do you think it can be played with 3 or do you need to have 4 or 5? Thank you for your time

The purest of negotiation games that's an absolute hoot with the right group. My copy is on loan to a friend so haven't been able to play this one for a while now unfortunately. Here's hoping it gets a reprint in the near future. 👍

You want to reclaim this one pronto...if your mate will let go of it of course 😉

@@BoardGameBollocks Aye, he absolutely loves it. Probably more than me. However he did manage to get a speck of hot glue on the board (no questions were asked at the time), so believe I may be following your advice once the lockdown lifts. 😆

This is probably the simplest and best negotiation game of all time. The box cover put me off because of the man with squinty eyes but once we played, it was just amazing. You just cannot judge a board game by the box cover. I agree that the cash is hard to count but it is US money and it's all green. I wish it was a bit bigger so it makes you feel richer like monopoly holding on to just 100s and 500s. Everything else is fine, the negotiation depends on your group dynamics, the colour and theme is not dull but really fits that era of New York.

I heard they were making a revised edition but the original just got reprinted.
@JL-ku7wo4 жыл бұрын
BoardGames4K yes it got reprinted and the box is smaller size now similar to the pandemic size box.
