So, I'm only 4 minutes into this, but let me see if I'm tracking. Am I to be encouraged that Beyonce is blending Christianity with African paganism? Am I to believe that Jesus would condemn the Pharisees but turn to Beyonce and say "you go girl" ? And so we should put hope in Beyonce as a literal idol to draw people to Christ? I would not recommend this plan. My suspicion is that Beyonce knows the power of lyrics to command a following and that her Beyonce-centric performances are really more about her than anything else.
