if this was done in my country Ghana, the politicians will purchase the properties for less and rent or sell them out very expensive. Well done Angola. At least 100,000 people have good shelter and comfort.

Why don't they build housing with this kind of architecture in China? Instead the Chinese get really drab tenement blocks as far as the eye can see. In any case, it looks pretty great.

So, is it populated? is it affordable? is it sustainable? is it suitable? Please if anyone from Angola can reply who actually knows that would be great. It strikes me that this type of construction is not the best in order to create communities, I have never been too keen on apartment blocks but would love to hear from someone local. Also, what type of employment is there available to residents? thank you.

Angolans should not be fooled! The infrastructure that will be built is not for the Angolans, it is for the Chinese. The Chinese are looking for territories beyond Chinese in exotic tropical climates for middle, high middle and wealthy Chinese to live full and part time. If you want to know what Luanda will look like in the next two decades, just look at Vancouver, British Columbia. The Chinese will buy properties as investments, not necessarily living in the places, driving up the costs in the entire area. Vancouver is a perfect case study.
