During China's Western Han Dynasty nearly 2000 years ago, there were constant wars between the Han Dynasty and the northern ethnic Huns. Both sides hoped to live in peace and maintain a good relationship through marriage. The Chinese emperor decided to send a woman to marry the leader of the Huns.
However, the Huns lived north of the Great Wall which was far away and very cold. No women wanted to go and live there. A beautiful girl named Wang Zhaojun volunteered to serve the country and marry the leader of the Huns. She became a legendary messenger of peace. However, she missed her home terribly. In this dance, she dreamed that she returned home and played with her friends.
