In Part 10 of our series on installing a Chinese Diesel Heater in my Vintage Trailer, we fumble through my first start (lol) and actually put the heater to use on our weekend camping trip... and let me tell you, with the evening temps dropping to single digits, it was a god-send... or was it?
As promised, here is the contact info for the man who actually figured out how to make a true silent diesel heater pump: jamesbrowningsmith@yahoo.co.uk
And if you'd like to see said pump in action, here is a link to another KZbinr who did just that: • Silent Pump for Diesel...
Hey y'all! About 6 months before the pandemic shut the world down in Mar 2019, my wife and I purchased a vintage camper... a California-built 1965 Oasis... and the vintage trailer project had begun!
Sadly, our hopes of hooking up our trailer and seeing where the wind takes us was quickly stifled by some pretty restrictive provincial camping registration limitations. Even so, we managed to get out a few times and in the process came to realize that "vintage charm", while... charming... sometimes needs a few modern amenities.
To that end I've made a few upgrades. Nothing outrageous... ventilation; running lights; 12V electrical upgrades & solar... making every attempt to maintain as much of the original vibe as possible.
I'm no expert, and these videos are for entertainment purposes, but I like to take things apart, figure out how they work, and improve upon them if I can... and if you can benefit from me sharing some of my projects, all the better!
So please... feel free to like and subscribe, post questions and/or comments, and I will answer to the best of my ability.
At the end of the day we're all in this together!
