I don’t understand why jobs would be lost. I would think that a company would make sure that the employees they HAVE would be trained on the new technologies as the transition was happening. The switch to an ALL EV world is going to be quite gradual. Even now, there’s not near enough charging stations in the US and we Americans love to take road trips often very long ones. If you have to spend extra travel time to find a charging station, people are going to get VERY grumpy. There will be plenty of time to cross train workers. I don’t see a full EV America until 2080 if that and who knows what will be in the pipeline by then. How about Solar run cars?

The problem us the government trying to force industry changes that consumers do NOT want at the moment. The market just isn't ready and the people in charge seem to be forcing the issue. All could cause huge issues and they have been.
