Fact: Han Chinese is infact a mixture of many different ethnic groups as well..

As an ethnic Han Chinese, the Han Chinese do not deny this. However, although most Han Chinese have mixed blood with other ethnic groups, due to the marriage system in ancient China, there are still a few families that have pure ancient Han Chinese blood, but the pride of the others is not in the pure Han Chinese blood, but in a particular person or group of persons who have been famous in history.

@Andres Leon The Han nationality is based on cultural identity (such as Chinese characters and dietary customs and lifestyle). Today's Han nationality is definitely different from the Han nationality in the Han Dynasty in China. This is because the people of the Han Dynasty migrated to other regions and other races. Similar intermarriage also has the result of assimilation.

China is a civilization’s country, it’s bonded by culture recognition, not by blood. As long as you know it’s culture and language and admit it, then you are Chinese. Most of those minorities back in thousands years ago, they admitted Chinese culture and was willing to be ruled by that time Chinese emperors, then they became a part of Chinese. Of course, some of the minorities were due to the lost of wars, they were ruled by the emperors after the war. You can read or watch more ancient Chinese history to find out more. All ethnic groups in China are equal before the law, but some minority groups may have some privileges such as entering colleges with a lower score, something like that. Although some ethnic groups may have their native languages and can use them in their respective autonomous regions, all people in China have to learn Mandarin and write Chinese characters.

Whereas for e.g. the Celtic or Germanic people will be scattered all over in several ill-defined clusters.

In the USA us European Americans generally stereotype East Asians, which includes Southeast Asia as short when it comes to height. In my area of South central Pennsylvania, the Asian population from the east area of Asia are a significant majority from southeast Asia with most Vietnamese and a good percentage are Cambodian as well. They have mostly darker skin than us European Americans and are noticeably shorter in height, especially with their senior citizen population, but I have to admit that their younger generation is closing the gap in average height when compared to European Americans. But when I go to airports or very popular vacation destinations that alot of foreigners like to visit, pre pandemic, we use to get many Chinese people, especially from the northern regions of China pre pandemic in the USA for a vacation or business trip. These Chinese seem to be on average just as white in skin color or very close to as white in skin color as us European Americans and I noticed that they are usually tall even for their older senior citizen aged population and IMO are on average taller, and with their younger adult population noticeably taller on average than us European Americans in the USA and they can stereotype us European Americans as short and they probably do but probably stereotype us as more fat than short because us European Americans are on average much more overweight and obese than we are short. But back to the subject of these tall Chinese and guessing that they are a majority Han Chinese, it seems like 6'0" are taller men are everywhere with these Chinese and 5'7" or taller are everywhere with Chinese women from their northern provinces and us European Americans if we run into these Chinese alot would stereotype Asians as tall, which is the opposite experience us European Americans have for a majority of other East Asian populations, especially with the Southeast Asian populations.
Chinese poeople have blood other than ancient east Asians, which is predominantly found in southeast Asian today. Chinese ancestors migrated from west and central Asia, they were Sumerian, Akkadian, Tocharian... modern Chinese are mixed but genetically a whole different from other east Asian countries.

The most primitive Han people came from Gansu and Shaanxi provinces. They were tall, with long and strong limbs, three-dimensional facial features, and a martial folk customs. They liked to hang the enemy's head around their waists during battle. They were a hunting people and an agricultural civilization. In the Guanlong area, the tribes were divided into three branches. They went west into Tibet; went north across the Yellow River into the grassland; and went east into Henan, reclaiming a large amount of land. By the end of the Shang Dynasty, the Zhou royal family led hundreds of families out of Shaanxi Province and divided the world. A large number of families expanded and colonized eastward and southward. During the war, large Han families fled to the south, squeezing out the land of southerners. Southerners could only evacuate to further south. Over the past two thousand years, the Han people have incorporated a large number of southerner genes. Although the language and culture have been preserved, their appearance has changed a lot. Most of the immigrants overseas are from the south, and the impression they give to the world is the appearance and tone of southerners.

What about the Miao people? Are they really naturally blonde?
@EthanHu-o7nАй бұрын
@grandcanyon-d4d The Miao people are a native ethnic group in China, mainly distributed in the central and southern regions. In the early days of the formation of the tribal alliance, the Yellow Emperor's tribe was responsible for war, and the Sanmiao was responsible for production. The Sanmiao was the first to enter the Bronze Age and challenged the Yellow Emperor's military nobles. Even though they had bronze weapons, they were still civilians with no war experience, and were finally suppressed. The Sanmiao split, and the pro-war faction fled to the southwest, while the pro-peace faction was given a surname and appeased. Originally, only the military nobles of the Yellow Emperor's tribe could have a surname. In the Tang Dynasty, the chieftains were appointed as Tusi officials to the leaders of the southwest tribes, and most of the Miao people were given Han surnames. The Han people's military system had been developing from the Yellow Emperor's tribe to the imperial period, so they were able to win overwhelming victories in foreign wars. The only things that could stop the expansion of the dynasty were typhoons at sea and miasma in the Indochina Peninsula.

However, the identity card is "ethnic groups". The Mongolian is called "Mongolian ethnic ". The Manchu people are called "Manchu ethnic". The Manchu people are almost mixed with the Han nationality. China now has 56 ethnic groups. Now the Han population accounts for 90%) In ancient China. Non -Han and Mongolians and Mongolians were only 1% in China (99% han people). In history, they were not called the Chinese (including non -Han people). They were called barbarians by the Han people.

In ancient times, barbarian was who spoke a strange language, a non-understandble language. The same in the ancient greek and roman civilizations. Then the word has no negative sense, whereas nowadays do.

Great surprise to me of your analysis. Han Chinese was the name of past tribes during Han dynasty period I.e. over 2200 years ago. Today they proud to call Han Chinese that in fact most or almost all are united as one called Chinese. Their language is Chinese which to the foreigners is difficult to learn. By analysis of YX chromosomes found in tombs(>3000years ago), the main y-DNA were O2,O3,O1,N1,C,R,Q and trace J. Majority was O y-DNA(>67%), with C,N,R,Q in decreasing order.

Label says Chinese ethnic groups but mostly talks about the Han. Does not even go into the different groups of the Han. I realize that it is a short video. But it left me feeling less informed. Just like when I lived in China in the 90s and watch tv there. This clip could easily be on mainland tv.
