I think the Chinese are now simply unstoppable because of the seamless supply chains, top-notch innovation and huge internal market. They've rapidly moved up the value chain and even entered the aerospace industry with COMAC aeroplanes. The most we can hope for here in Africa is that they throw us their "crumbs" and establish low end manufacturing here.

In China that has always been the rules.....you can't do it independently.... Tesla tried to do it but their tech got stollen... You either work with China and protect your tech or give you intellectual property to them.. Range rover actually won the case against Chinese company which copied its design... You know why? They co operate with Chinese authorities just like apple... If you think this is problem, ford explorer ev is basically a vw... Honda prologue is GM made car... This is happening everywhere and it's not new.. Toyota gr86 and suburu brz is same... Americans have been rebadging Chinese car for long time now especially GM.. FYI, the new mini aceman and countryman ev are Chinese...

Sean, the Japanese legacy automakers such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda have no choice but to collaborate with Chinese NEV makers. They have truly lagged behind in terms of autonomous driving or battery technology. Their ICE vehicle technology is dated.

Very interesting content, Telescope! Incredible to see what's going on. The "Toyota" bZ3x and "Mazda" EZ-6 are very impressive vehicles... I call them "Toyota and Mazda in name only". This is definitely the future of the industry: many of these legacy brands are just going to have Chinese vehicles with their badges and maybe some alterations to sell in all global markets.

How large is the trunk of the MIX? I have yet to find a single picture of it. On your video I can see someone opens the back, but no look inside!?!? Nice car, I was about to consider Buzz but the battery range @Euro highways is disapointing people get barely 250km

EVs for now are for everyday city usage, you do your grocery, leisure, job and come at night and charge it, just like your smartphone. this will change maybe in next 10-15 years.

@@majidmehmood3780 I 'have been driving my BMW i3 in the city and on the highway for last 7 years. Now it is perfectly ok to do long distance family trips in EV in Europe, just I would expect something with 350-400 km highway range.

@@TheLishmac 我帮你进行了一些搜索，很遗憾，目前确实没有MIX的尾箱的正式照片，所有的现场视频都是室内的。我唯一获得的消息是，在另外一位媒体人的视频中，他们询问了品牌官方，官方给出的答复是第二排的座椅所使用的轨道会非常长，可以把第二排座椅推到非常靠前的位置。我觉得对于后备箱空间，其实不用担心，极氪是一个成熟的品牌，他们不会做的很烂。但是需要考虑的是MIX这台车究竟会不会进入欧洲市场，以及进入后是什么样的价格。鉴于极氪现在在欧洲的销量和价格，我并不认为到时候这台车会很便宜，但是我估计也不会比IDBUZZ贵

There is almost no diesel cars in China. Even the worldwide diesel car makers (like BMW) will not sell diesel cars in China, cuz the customers just dont like them. Chinese customers think diesel engines are only for trucks.

3:58 completely agree, the MX-30 makes zero sense, zero! Actually, it has only one good thing, this car can be used to filter content creators. And when you happen to think, is not that bad, is it? Look at the freaking price, you can get an BYD Atto 3 (Yuan Plus) for less money. I always though that Mazda wanted to make EVs look bad with that car.

The battery is really the core component of an EV, as the rest of the EV are not complicated.

@@reginald7214 electric motors have been around for a hundred years now, they are simple things. The only thing that makes EV hard to produce is the battery. And what makes mass producing batteries hard is the mining supply chain. It’s a pricing game. The minerals used to make batteries are the new oil.

I don't find the Leapmotor C16 very appealing. It's about the same size as the Li Auto L6, but it only offers rear-wheel drive, a not-so-powerful motor, a 1.5L NA engine, and an average infotainment system and driver assistance system. It's just a cheap car with a cheap price.

There is not such a thing as “chinese cars”. There are good and bad chinese brands as with other countries. Furthermore, yes it’s cheap but it’s not the real price at the end of the day every Chinese citizen is paying to make these cars so “cheap”. At one day all of them need to start earn money. One thing is clear, though. Chinese people know how to build nice ev’s quickly. Going to be interesting how reliable there are in the long run with service warranty etc. Wishing you guys all the best.
