When they say white in Asian languages, it just means a lighter or brighter complexion, not to become a different race. Because in feudal Asia, their traditional standard of beauty prefers a lighter complexion as it means you are not a working class in the sun. So when say whiten skin it means they like to have lighter Asian skin tone, not because they want to become pink skin like 'white' western. For African there also exist lighter and darker tone of black skin. This is just an outdated cultural beauty concept, doesnt have any racial implication to it.
