Hi, check it out. Reported in Chinese and HK media, PLAN is building 019, 020, 021 aircraft carrier simultaneously. 019 being another one non nuclear powered similar to 018, Fujian. 020 and 021 are nuclear powered. All have started work.

Well by all accounts even in the West the Shipyard Space is there. So no reason, unless shirt of teething troubles with the propulsion, why they shouldn't beable too.
@xsu-is7vq10 ай бұрын
Highly unlikely. If PLAN is confident enough about nuclear propulsion to start construction of two such vessels simultaneously, then they would not be wasting resources on a separate conventionally powered vessel. But it would be highly highly unusual for PLAN to build three ships of a very new designs as a first batch, not to mention such a complex and expensive ship. The simpler 075 and 076 weren’t built in such manner. So it’s much more likely that there are three ships in their production pipeline, as in sub components are been produced, but they won’t all be in the shipyard assembly stages at the same time.
@amunra533010 ай бұрын
You need to cite your source. I highly doubt the China will build a Nuclear carrier without testing out the technology on the Fujian.

Disclaimer: not an expert. With that said . . . I am a child of the generation during which hovercraft were envisioned as the future for all travel and transportation. The reality which followed was a science fiction writer's reason to drink. Hovercraft are incredibly expensive to operate and maintain. They gulp down oil like (your euphemism here) and are only useful in fairly stable seas. A cross between the aviation and marine design paradigms, hovercraft are not sturdy enough for general at sea utility. In one way they are much like airships- they seem to be intuitively useful . . . until physics, meteorology, and costs of maintenance come into play. That's when you realize they're money pits so deep that their advertisement to enemy nations can be viewed as straight up misdirection. Really, if you build 'em, you better use them right away, or you'll run out of money keeping them up to spec over time. Plus the fuel needed to train crews and practice operations. WHich is why you see ships and planes everywhere, but hovercraft? Few and far between.

' nah nah... ussr russia made the ZUBR hovercraft to give or sell to china navy use it... china did make or not make it hovercraft... Type 728 is China's designation for the Zubr-class assault hovercraft... Zubr (“Bison”) was originally developed by the Soviet Union in the 1980s... At 187 feet long and a maximum weight of 555 tons, it's the largest hovercraft in the world
