General Jin is indeed a knowledgeable and inspiring man. Everyone needs to study history and learn from it--yes, the century of humiliation must never be forgotten. However, I disagree with the attitude of revenge in this modern nuclear age as retaliation from the former aggressors can mean annihilation for the whole world. China's peaceful rise from where she was to today's standards in one generation has been nothing less a miracle, to put it mildly. My heartfelt congratulations to China! You are now strong and together with the lessons learnt from your 5000 year rich history, another century of humiliation will not happen again. Defend against the hostiles, you naturally must. Instead of revenge, your leaders have been emphasising cooperation, common prosperity and win-win relationships with all nations, unlike certain countries which look at the world through a zero sum lens. I can only surmise that the CPC's thinking and grand goal can only result from people of a mature civilisation, as China is. China has every reason to be proud of her unprecedented achievements! But be careful here, too much show of pride will only dent the opinion of others of China/Chinese. Confidence with humility are a lot more attractive in drawing others to her cause. As what General Jin said, the current generation of Chinese is very fortunate to have witnessed the remarkable transformation of China through these past decades. I, for one, am waiting to experience and witness the transformation of the globe for the better through BRICS+, of which China is an integral member. My wish--a peaceful rise of the global south. Once again, congratulations, China!

As far as infrastructural facilities are concerned, India is about 30 years behind China. India, according to infrastructure experts, may not be able to build a world-class high-speed railway system - like China's - before 2030. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, like Japan's Fumio Kishida, and Canada's Justin Trudeau, has to accede to Washington's demands all the time. Therefore, these leaders are but Washington's obedient slaves. They can't even maintain their dignity before U.S. presidents.
The Chinese need to understand humiliation and joking are two different things during a conversation If they humiliate you, usually they would say China man, not weak Chinese. You should have asked him what he meant by weak Chinese. 17:22.
