Hi thank you for this! If my file is 4k and I am trying to add brolls? Is there a way to fix that to keep my video resolution and so I am able to keep my broll resolution (my broll is a transition ) thanks so much

Thanks Chinfat. Is it the case that it doesn't matter what setting you use on import, you are free to change that during the edit? ie you can use Scale to Frame Size on import as it makes for a faster higher-performance edit. However mid-edit when you realise you want to zoom in on a sequence, you can change that clip to Set to Frame size and it will then be able to access the full resolution? I think so from my testing.

You can select the footage all ready imported into your project window, go up to the CLIP drop down menu and select VIDEO OPTIONS and uncheck or checkmark Scale to Frame Size. Once on the timeline, you can select the clips, right-click and choose scale or set to frame size.

would scaling to frame size give you a faster work flow when editing 4k? seems like there is a loss in quality when doing this so when exporting can you set to frame to get better quality? idk if that makes sense lol

for anyone seeing this in the future, if you are working with 4k then you should have a good enough computer to where it doesn't matter if you choose "scale" or "set"
