Happy Ten Year Anniversary Alexandra Wallace. You might not know it, but the anti-Asian sentiment and discrimination you showed here is still alive and well today - in fact, it's only gotten worse. Innocent elders have been murdered in broad daylight, our cultural centers have been repeatedly robbed and vandalized, and Asians around the world are being targeted, attacked, and scapegoated for the effects of the global pandemic. Alexandra, you helped raise awareness once in 2011, and you're doing so again ten years later. This fight is far from over, and we will stand together to stem the tide and reclaim our narrative and place in history.

Haha I never actually saw this until now because I was 11 when you released this and my only KZbin exposure was "I'm Blue" da boo dee da boo dai... but anyways this is pure genius. Thanks for sharing this again on Insta Jimmy so I could come and discover this. The part where you point out that if she's having an epiphany every time she's studying that she's probably doing something wrong is just golden. But I think it's insane how many hate crimes are still going on in the US against those of Asian ethnicities. This country is not built off of the native population, but off of immigrants. The first immigrants we have record of are the Europeans, and from there everybody from all over the world has come here, either by force or by choice. We need to show respect to one another, regardless of ethnicity or nationality. Our diversity should unify us, not drive us apart. Celebrating what makes each of us unique is what is most important, and respecting everybody is a basic human principle that not enough people seem to grasp. It is only those people who do not grasp it that I have a hard time respecting. I will do my part to help amplify the voices of Asian Americans who are fighting back against discrimination.
