What role do the smaller snares have? How are they tuned? Why do they march them?

they do not have a real role. they are made to give lower class-men experience so that in the following years they can jump into a bigger role such as snare qauds or bass and have marching and playing experience

Mr. Vlad...obviously, there is no winning with you. People like you intrigue me. I am always perplexed why people like you can't find the good in everything. When a group beat my ensemble, I never got pissed...I used it as a teaching moment to get better. Nor would I ever bash a group of youngsters, whether they beat me or not, and whether they deserved it. This is a POSITIVE activity. Living in SoCal, we're pretty cool with everyone...since we kinda own the activity. #fact I've read all the comments you've made on this thread and there is just no winning with you. I hope you make a great life for yourself. As I was taught in my drum corps and Blast! experience, if you have nothing nice to say, simply say, "You have a very nice Drum Corps." So... "You have a very nice drum corps." I'm done.

+Rymmel Librodo If I remember correctly, Finals 2013 was below freezing the whole time. That's why the guy said it's cold in the beginning. Also, because they're from SoCal, it's a huge climate difference.
