What is that rod and reel combo you're using? Drifting with a fly set up?
@Go2fishingbc3 ай бұрын
It’s a Centerpin setup. 10’6 trophy xl power 2. Paired with okuma raw ii reel

Nice to have you back!! Question for ya! I'm also using a centerpin and I have no problem casting it short distances but if I'm trying to get it 30-40 feet out there I constantly birds nest. I'm letting it pre spool and using the BC swing but nothing is helping. Any suggestions?? Or is that how CPing goes?? Thanks!

get a legit reel like a baitcaster and sell your pin to trendy pinheads.

Practice will make you better but it does take some bird nesting haha. Usually feeling the weight of your float and lead helps. Momentum is key if that make sense. Not sure how to explain 😂

@@Go2fishingbc that makes sense! Thanks for the information!

Nice video! The spring in the beginning was a tank! I am curious: When you drift, do you drag a bit the float so the bait goes first downstream? And how do you find the proper depth? Love your videos! Good luck and hope to see you one day in the river!

I just mend my line. Let it flow with the current. I don’t hold my float. To find the right depth, I start deep and adjust until my bobber don’t bounce around. Hope this helps!

@@Go2fishingbc thank you so much for these tips. Every day I go to the river I learn something new

Funny, we call them fall here in the US. Why do you guys call them springs when it’s “fall”..?
