We made a 2 day visit to "Magnolia Land" back last November. My wife got "hooked" watching Fixer Upper while on the treadmill at the gym. I was more impressed with the dream come to life. We bought a few things. I was impressed with Clint Harp's work and visited his place closer in town. Fun, solid people who share their standards of "home".

I want to go there and see everything they have done!! It's Wonderful what they are doing to spruce up their own town!! I think we All can contribute to our own towns and keep them viable!! We especially need to do this in this 2021 political and economic climate we are in right now. We don't want America and American towns and cities to fall into disrepair. That will create crime havens and "no go zones," which we do not want. We want to Keep America standing!!!

My sister and I took a road trip to Texas in 2019 and went first to Waco to see the Gains's place . Jo is sweet and humble and beautiful and Chip is so funny and will try about anything ..darling personalities ! He's handsome too , they are a great couple !

Chip is a perpetual Peter Pan, which can be cute and endearing but under the wrong circumstances, a Peter Pan can be frustrating and useless at times. It takes a special kind of woman to understand that and allow him to be himself, not expect to change him into something he is not, and not get angry when he isn't the focused and totally responsible adult needed from time to time. I like them too, but I was getting a little tired of "shabby-chic" and the farmhouse-look so I was especially excited whenever they took on an unusual project. They are both kind people, but so are the Scott Brothers and others

I love this family! I've probably watched every episode of Fixer Upper 10-20 times, even the reruns. Watching their children grow up on Fixer Upper was so sweet. While I’m tired of what has become her signature design style, I have always appreciated the Gaines duo. They come across as grounded and intelligent, and they appear to not have let the fame go to their heads. You can also tell (if we’re to believe their public persona, and I hope we can) that they are still very much in love and get along so well.
