Chip Carter remembers his mother, Rosalynn Carter: "She saved my life"

James Earl "Chip" Carter III spoke Tuesday at a tribute service honoring his mother, Rosalynn Carter. "She saved my life," Carter said of his mom, remembering how she encouraged him to enter rehab for his struggles with addiction. Rosalynn Carter died Nov. 19 at the age of 96.

To me, Rosalynn Carter was such a magnificent Woman with a big heart who made a positive impact on so much of this World. She is a Legend. A trailblazer to say, here-this is how its done.... She truly had an Amazing life filled with Love and Adventure alongside the love of her life husband Jimmy Carter. They truly Loved and Lived. When I was a little girl growing up- my family supported and adored President Jimmy Carter. My mom encouraged me to "be like Amy Carter and learn to play the violin". And that's what I did. The Carter Foundation now can easily say it has changed the course of healthcare in many 3rd World countries with life saving vaccines wiping out many deadly diseases. I admired your Mom Rosalynn and always will. God Bless you Chip Carter. May your Magnificent Mom Rosalynn be with the Angels now watching down from the Heavens. We all know she will. And May your family and especially May beloved President Jimmy Carter still feel her presence near to him-always. I am sad that I see only 74 comments here. I worked in Cambridge , MA in the 70's. Happy to find out my boss was polling for Jimmy Carter... Well they new he was going to win. I remember how President Carter always told the truth and was an honorable man up until right now he and Rosalynn worked with Habitat for Humanity. ❤❤ the first famous person I ever met was Rosalynn Carter, it was 1977, Hartford friendship flight,, and we went to Tel Aviv, Israel. I was so excited to meet her at Bradley Airport, with Governor Ella Grasso. I got to go to Raanna, Israel, and we stayed 11 days it changed my whole life. I became a serious born-again❤❤❤❤ christian .❤❤❤❤
