Oddly enough I did a semi homemade carrot cake recipe in muffin form... they look to be the same texture as the "cookies" you just showed.... might have to try that! I'm glad that jumped on purchasing the carrot cake cookies last week when they sent an email about them. Totally love those and wish they were a permanent product. I agree that more cream cheese filling would be great. Cream cheese icing is the best because the acidity in the cream cheese offsets the sweetness of what's it's on. Thanks for the info though. Might have to stock up on their other cookies/bites with the sale.

I find their cookies a little hit or miss. The ones that I've consistently enjoyed (and found to be the most moist) are peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter. I've reviewed the majority of their cookies, so if you're curious about which ones I liked vs didn't, just do a search on my channel.

I admit that hearing someone chew and smack isn't one of my favorite things but I've never found your enjoyment offensive. There are several cooking channels where I can't watch the tasting portion because of the slurping and smacking and visible food in open chomping mouths with the microphone only inches away. LOL Appreciate your reviews!

Interestingly, I've found that chewing noises (even with a -10dB to -20dB correction in my video editor) are more pronounced when listening on my iPhone (that's without earbuds). I don't hear it on my PC speakers or when played on my TV.

Hi there, I am a new viewer and am very intrigued by your content. I am relatively basic abt sugar spike discussions and had two general question about insulin spikes: 1. is there a minimum quantity of sugar/carb that is needed to have a spike? Like can 1/4 teaspoon of sugar cause a spike or is it less or more? 2. Is the spike instantaneous or it is after 15 or 30 mins after eating a spikable amount? Thx much for your nuanced input

Question 1 is largely an individual thing. What may spike one person may not spike another. Regarding question number 2, the answer is generally in the 45 minute to 1 hour range for the peak of the spike. This can vary a bit depending on if you are measuring blood glucose with a finger stick or if you are measuring using a continuous glucose monitor (which lags behind blood glucose by 10-15 minutes).

Chewing, drinking, swallowing, slurping, plates clinking, water pouring into glasses at high volume on commercials, crunching chips with mouth open instead of closing mouth then chewing, are all like nails on a chalk board to me. 😂 I will leave the room. Unless I am eating and chewing too, then I don't notice it as much. Some of it is just a response. Some is being annoyed at lack of etiquette and manners. 😂
