Chucky looks so up at Tom, so adoringly. But, back to mom to see if she is hiding mealworms. I think she only leaves your home, is to protect her "stash". She leaves with pouches full, so her little home must have lots of treats. But, she doesn't want to share, so she must hurry to protect snacks. Hee hee

I can't imagine how happy dad's gonna be, when Chuky comes back…! It's like she understands ChooChoo is there for everyone who comes by, but dad's love is solely for Chucky, and noone else. Im sure the peanuts dad gave her are always extra crispy, sweet and tasty!! 🥰❤️

It could also be that Mr Tom's outdoor work cutting wood and fixing wood planks made Chucky feel safe around him.

It's more or less mid-winter here in Ontario: I fed my little chippies bags and bags of food, fruit cups, and nuts - I hope they stored enough for the long wither sleep. I know it's foolish, but I adore nature. I can't imagine a day without all of God's little friends. The chippies will be (hopefully) be back soon.

She’s actually speaking to him with the noises she makes. I’ve owned rats and they make clicking and grunting sounds to speak to you. Plus, I’ve heard chipmunks in the wild communicate with chirps, she trusts and loves and trusts you both very much. I had one I named scar...he'd eat out of my hand and I'd put unsalted peanuts out on the deck for him. Whenever he heard anyone walking on the deck he HAD to come and visit. He wasn't as tame as chucky though.
