Vince has said precisely zero interesting things, and has not improved his knowledge and commentating style in over 15 years. The only reason he ever got and kept that job is because of daddy's friends. He's the Hollywood version of a trust fund baby. 😒

This is one of these best WPT final tables I've ever seen. Alan Goerhring played masterfully and when he played bad he achieved some of the greatest suckouts in poker history at this table.

When it comes to the head to head game the dynamics of the game changes dramatically, it comes down to a little bit of craziness and a lot of balls and don't forget we can see the cards so it's different when you are sitting in the chair.

Dispicable person, i would never cheat but if i did i would just play poker and when the opponent raised the river id peek to see if he had the flush etc. But to crush spirits and confidence just for ego is truly evil!

I watched this final table from the hospital room the day my daughter was born in May 2006. I just found it by accident here and I only remember because of Nemo and my wife commenting on all of the lousy jokes that Vince pulled in this episode.

WPT always edits down so a final table lasts only 2 hrs on TV. Not only that, the blinds are very fast on their final tables. You're probably only seeing 5% of the hands they play.

The blinds are also crazy at this stage. The big stack has only 20 big blinds, and there's an ante. Imagine sitting down at a $1/$2 table with only $40. This structure is specifically set up to cause all-in confrontations on the final table. None of the players really have the stack to play creatively at this point.

in heads up, with large blinds, you must start being aggressive with semi-good hands, because if you have 8 or 10 big blinds left in you, you might not see anything better before you are blinded out.

@@Sacrilege83 me 2 that machine is rigged for action, just like online, it can only cut the cards hi or low, which means ,we all have part of the flop so can throw those b s odds to win the hand after the flop in the toilet, you can still beat it if you throw away all big pocket pairs you got to commit to, but most people are still brain wash on those fake hands lol thanks for the shout back.

It's just editing mate, the shuffling, ante-ing up, blind posting and dealing takes time live, and there would be a lot of hands were the SB raises and the BB folds which they just don't show as it's not good television. I'm sure there's some really quick HU battles, but there has to be some that drag on a full level or two
