Chippin' Truck, Chippin' Truck, Just Got Stuck!!

Hope you caught the song reference in the Title??? Your "ear worm" for the day. Chicken Truck by John Anderson, for those who didn't get it. Anyway, in this episode, I use our 2015 Peterbilt 389X with Miller Industries, Century 1150R rotator heavy towing and recovery unit to perform a pretty difficult side pull on a loaded tree trimming chip hauling truck that got stuck perpendicular to a two lane highway in some mud and straddle of a sidewalk. The Sheriff's department closed the road, because, closure is ALWAYS an option...hehe.... In this instance, closure was the SAFEST option. So, can the Rotator side pull a fully loaded chip wagon that's buried axle deep in mud??? Watch and see.
Again, I wish to thank everyone who has expressed their prayers and/or condolences for the death of my Dad. The outpouring of support from my viewers has been tremendous and has helped in this difficult time. May God bless each and every one of you. Also, thank you for your patience. I am still making videos, but I took a couple weeks off-call after my dad passed, so I wasn't doing very many jobs. This is another job trying to get to the new normal without Dad. I will continue to perform jobs and create videos, as long as God allows. Things will be different moving forward. I have to trust that God will guide me and this channel.

Nice and easy pull. Alex woke me up for this. He is doing a bit better after we had the snow. He hates the cold weather. He shivers a lot during the fall and winter. Him being very small he has zero fat on him. Primordial dwarves also tend to get cold very easily. If he isn't in my coat when I am wearing it, he wraps himself up in a heated weighted blanket.

I hate watching people rush. In an off-road recovery, the first thing I do after stabilising the vehicle and caring for the vehicle's occupants is boil the billy & have a cup of tea. But I also know that tow trucks don't have that luxury. Still, you're always calm and 😎 cool, except for this one. Understandably so. Burton Cummins ,I was stationed in MO. way back in the seventies, I think that it must be a requirement that LEOs in MO be nice guys. Then they would enforce the law, but do everything in their power to help if you needed help. I was changing a tire right off I-44 MO state trooper stopped behind me turned on the take down lights on his unit,kept me and my family safe till I got the tire changed then waved his hand at me drove off.

Gotta confess, as you were driving over, I was formulating my plan. Double hook to the back of the truck - lift and swing it on to the road. Easy Peasy. That assumed front wheels were on the road and no "ARC" nemesis . Just a side comment. You were working slow today. Ron, that turned out well. I have the highest respect for our LEO'S, and the work that they do. I've not been a police officer, but I've served in the military, and been a park ranger, helped direct traffic for law enforcement, and I know that our country would be worse off without them. Why some have negative views about them is beyond me.

First, thank you for your service. Second, as we all know a few bad seeds are noticed far more than the healthy ones. I have always had a great rapport with our Law Enforcement.
