Were all non-two wheel vehicles provided by the Ford Motor Company? Ponch was driving an F-150 and the speedster was driving a Mustang, and an innocent bystanderd was piloting a Thunderbird, and they were all the most recent models at the time

I remember thinking Ponch's F150 and that red Camaro were pretty cool when I saw this on TNT back in 1998. Now both vehicles look very dated to the 90s since they've both gone through several models, especially since about 2004/2005 to the present. Even Roulette the young cop in 1998/1999 would be the older cop today, maybey not as old as Ponch was in this movie (early 50s?), but definitely in his 40s.

@@userjlj Ahh, good catch, yup it's a Mustang. Mustangs and Camaro's had the sleek design in the 90s, whereas somewhere in the 2000s to present day it went back to that big, muscle look from the 1960s/early 70s.

This is a different situation, Ponch wanted to apprehend a speeding felon, in a lot of states his actions would be justified. There are many situations that off duty police officers assist their on duty colleagues.

@Jason Shoots yes he knows how to fix things. Got a restraining order on my sister in law just because she wrote something on the front wall of his house. The police picked her up and she had to do community service.

The CHIPS movie was very disrespectful to the CHP while CHiP's itself was respectful to the CHP. I only watch the CHIPS movie for the motorcycles and Erik Estrada wasn't a CHP officer, but a paramedic.

In the movie remake from 2017 (which is what 74Spirit1 was referencing) Erik Estrada has a cameo as a different character, which happens to be a paramedic. California Men are so stimriking handsome. How come E,T's and other disciplined males really are lucky that Genetics was on behalf our thousand's of years we managed to survive the big cold one.
