I could not possibly think of anyone more legendary that Sheriff Buford “T” Justice played by Jackie Gleeson , no way man , I do remember when I a kid in the very early 80’s with all my family one of the few moments we’ve had that we all together watching him and laughing our pants out .... absolutely spotless acting, he steals the show , and we get Burt with his Trans Am all his undisputed number 1 charisma and Jerry Reed with his music and and his legendary role of “Snowman “ and there’s Sally Field , man this was 70’s and 80’s very finest.... the chemistry here is out of this orbit out of this realm .... this movie became real to our lives , this movie is so Powerful that we do remember them as part of our lives and they characters took life forms into our deepest memories. Bless y’all from this movie, thank you for the best memories I’ve ever heard , I became a truck driver and cowboy enthusiasts because this movie and the characters. One of my greatest influences in my lifetime , I’ve got all the hats , all the boots , cowboy shirt and Native American Indian jewellery from the characters like Burt and Jerry Reed I still dress up like this up to today . Back in 1980 when I was around 15 years old, my two favorite movies in the world were "Smokey and the Bandit" and "Superman: The Movie". That is how I know that Burt Reynolds IS a legend (and of course so is Jackie Gleason).

I'm 40 now. We both get it. Better times. Great art and incredible actors. Now? JUST LIBERAL AMERICA HATERS. What happened? KARL MARX. LOOK IT UP! YOU LIBERALS ARE DESTROYING AMERICA AND PROMOTING THE THIRD WORLD, WHICH WAS DOOMED TO FAIL BY NATURAL SELECTION. IF WE DONT GO BY DARWIN THEN WE GO BY THE WAY SIDE LIKE THE DINOSAURS. Wake up assheads.

TELLEMENT2000. Excellent comment! Yes yes yes, where do I start, "micro aggressions"? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm just not PC and I don't give a crap. Don't these losers think they are offending me everyday with the garbage they put on TV? It's complete madness! But I don't want to ban TV. Yes they want to ban everything that's traditional and think we aren't supposed to be angry!??? Yes tell them the letters "F O" HAHAHAA take care. Try to stave off the madness!

One of the best lines from Smokey and the Bandit 2 was one from Buford. "Junior, if you ever embarrass me like that again, I'm gonna get me an axe and you'll never have to open your fly again".

Why don't we have actors like Burt Reynolds anymore? All we have today are actors who are in it for the money. Actors used to do it because they loved what they were doing. And it showed on screen.
