i find dicey dungeons to be the only game where theres a perfect blend of rng and skill the dice you get are random but with all the possible moves you can have make every number and character useful you have to work with what you have and i love it

"Slay the spire" is generally better. It has actual random and more usefull cards in general. While "Dicey dungeons", in comparison, often seems to have only 2-3 possible cards per concrete level\chest, and has a huge pool of useless cards. For example, "-1 dice value". I met this thing way too many times and never used it (except for the jester few times, because "why not"). It was like a placeholder thing in the game, not really needed

I found Nudge useful for the theif's poison build, and the warrior's battle-axe/spiked sheild. It was also useful in at least one early-game robot run when I needed to nudge 6's into my plasma blaster. Different gear is useful to different people, and whatever prefences you have none of them are total trash that I can think of.

i was amazed at how great the final episode was, i wasn't expecting the game to let you RECRUIT the enemies to fight for you. that was probably the best part for me. seeing them all with unique dialogue and back sprites was awesome. It's even better because the way the battle is done, you NEED to rely on your new allies to win the fight. The player character wouldn't be able to beat lady luck alone. Probably my favorite fight of the game.

I love the progression of this tune so much! Each part represents how this battle progresses, and how your feelings develop through the battle. 0:00-1:32 At this part, you know you are against a threatening and dangerous foe, and yet, you don't know what this foe is capable of doing. You feel somewhat scared at the notion of not knowing your enemy. 1:33-2:47 This is when you finally start seeing the true nature of your enemy, and how powerful your foe is. And yet, you feel as if this enemy isn't even trying yet. This makes you warier than before 2:48-4:01 Your opponent finally bares its fangs, showing you its true power: bending rules to its own whims, which is really dangerous, as those rules can utterly destroy you. You are getting truly scared of your opponent, feeling a bit hopeless. 4:02-4:50 After feeling hopeless, you notice how there is an opening against this boss, and that gives you enough strength to continue trying. You are seeing a light in all this darkness. 4:51-6:21 This is it! You are totally conscious of how powerful this opponent is, but you know victory is at hand! As some sort of punchline, your boldness of not giving up has been favored by fortune giving you the chance to turn the tides to your favor! One last push to victory!

I just beat the game today and honestly, this is one of the best games I've ever played. What made the finale so good was the climatic feel, the limit break, concept and this song! The leitmotifs, the little reused vocals, the crowd cheering and the multiple parts made me so hyped!

This final episode blew my expectations out of the water. I think my favorite part (although I honestly love every part of it) has to be that every enemy has their own potential dialogue and portrait of their backs when they fight for you. The amount of detail that went into this game is simply stunning. Would buy this game several times over.

After hours and hours of listening to this OST, i am still baffled by the sheer quality of this track. The amount of build-up, the usage of leitmotifs from a bunch of other tracks (i even noticed the heartbeat from the low hp track thrown in there at some point), as well as the other new instruments like the screeching violins make this an amazing track to listen to, and not one i'm gonna forget about anytime soon. Thank you for this amazing soundtrack, chipzel. It's criminally underrated and one of my personal favorites.

Absolutely loved the game's final boss! I just beat Lady Luck herself and I gotta say....The build up was amazing: The beginning - Dread sets in as you realise just how strong Lady Luck is. You have to pick just **one** dicey fella to defeat the evil tyrant. At first I thought it was going to be a massive Final Fantasy-type fight where you got the 6 diceys against a 999 hp Lady Luck or something, but it was even better! Seeing what used to be your enemies throughout the entire journey suddenly join you in on the cause? Honestly surprised me. They were all very welcome though! And I also love how Yolanda, Val and Ned were all like "Hey, if you're gonna take on Lady Luck herself....have this, don't tell anyone I gave it to you for free!" as they handed you an extra dice. Really set the mood that everyone is tired of the evil tyrant that Lady Luck is! Then I got to the fight itself and....just wow. This theme really sets the whole feeling of the battle! I really love games with dynamic soundtracks, and I must admit: This was a very memorable one. I don't remember most of it, but I did catch the dynamic aspect of it as I played. I remember how the part at 5:03 kicked in when Lady Luck was down to like 50 hp? And I was like "Hold on....I think I actually did it!" one limit break later....victory was guaranteed. The ending itself was also super wholesome, actually made me smile. Thank you so much for making the soundtrack for this game as well! I've been cycling Super Hexagon (got to Hyper Hexagonest a few days ago and I've been struggling ever since lol) and Dicey Dungeons these past few weeks. 34 hours of fun later, I was finally done with the base game! I'll try out the Halloween Special and Reunion the next time I play the game!

What irony - In gameplay Lady Luck follows the rules, makes you obey rules, and, in fact, is all about the rules. Because she uses her luck to constantly roll 6s, Judgement sets you into rules. Then she gives you commandments, and that's the second part of her giving the rules. And the part where she follows rules is phase 2, where she's basically scripted and her whole luck on that phase is based on whether it gives her a Megaphone or Hammer which is miniscule.

Originally I listened to every song in the OST besides this one, as I didn't want to be spoiled. I'm so glad that I saved it for last, it was definitely worth it! Spoilers below I went into this fight completely blind, and I was grinning like a madman the whole time. I managed to get some of my favorite enemies during the run (Stereohead, Audrey, Skeleton, Space Marine) and getting to work together with them was so damn cool

Already bought the game and the soundtrack as that's only right with something this high quality - trying to make an extended version of this track but seem to be running into a snag or two. The transitions are definitely different between phases than just throwing the low intensity OGG, then the medium, then the high in a file. What am I missing here?

ok so hear me out, i think this track can be mixed with the boss track for the wall of flesh in terraria, and i can say this because for some odd reason i have to mentally create remixes roughly and i mixed em’ together and they sounds almost completely perfect, and just a few tweaks need to be made and perfecto!
