Sony Cyber-shot Retrospective

Mobile photography has changed drastically in the past decade. Capturing quality images no longer requires dedicated camera hardware, with most smartphones producing photos on par with their larger camera counterparts. Today, I am taking a retrospective look at the Sony Cuber-shot DSC-S700, a camera that is near and dear to my heart. I was a major photographer at a young age, and now even though technology has evolved, it is still interesting to see where it all started for me personally and in the tech industry.

I dug this out of one of our drawers at home recently so it was nice to see a comparative video with current technology. Kind of excited to use it and see how the photos turn out once I get them on my phone.

I liked this a lot! I have a bunch of Digicams that I still use frequently. They have a completely different type of vibe. The video may not be up to par but photos take on a totally different feel. I skipped most of the settings explanations in this, but your thoughts and comparisons were very enjoyable.

I have one very similar to this but unfortunetly it does not turn on anymore. I remember only taking VGA photos back on that day because I was noob and didn't know anything about quality or the size or images. Nice and nostalgic video.

I have a DSC S650 which is the exact same model as that one but it has some minor differences like the screen bezels are bigger meaning the screen is smaller and the glossy buttons on your camera are all matte on mine. Overall it is the same thing but what I hate about them the most is the way they use AA batteries. I ain't wasting money buying them since even the duracells aren't enough for it since it chugs them up quickly. I also hate the MSPD cards. Today regular SD cards are way more common. I still can't get over how I payed like $45 for a 512 mb but that was over 12 years ago.

I just bought some rechargeable batteries for my AA digicams. Work like a charm. Well worth the $18 investment.

i have the exact camera but it's says format error and the screen is too dark and i don't know if you can adjust the brightness or the screen is indeed damaged i can't take a photo or video because the format error thing if you or someone know how to fix that please help me!!

I have a problem I got the same camera bro but when I put the battery and leave it to charge the battery charges very little. What to do ?

your battery is probably broken, best bet is to buy a new battery :)

How do you transfer the photos?

@@angelojesusalonzogarcia1818 You just connect the memory card to an adapter and transfer it to your computer. There’s also a mini USB port on the device where you can connect a cable to your computer, although that is slower than just using the card.
