I’ve just brought the Omega Aqua Terra GMT World Timer. The stainless one with the blue rubber strap. I usually wear the Planet Ocean and do like that watch but I must say I’m loving the AT. I’ve never had a Seamaster 300m but I can certainly see the appeal

I’ve the trilogy Seamaster 300 Speedy, 50th anniversary Omega GMT, the white dial and now the summer blue edition, I was lucky enough to get this on Christmas morning from my loving & beautiful wife . I’m so happy and it’s a cool and fun piece. But my wife has now taken to wearing the white dial 😂

I owned the white dial for a while, and now I have this exact Summer Blue Seamaster. I bought it on bracelet and then bought the rubber strap for it. While I find the bracelet mostly comfortable, on the rubber strap, it's one of the best wearing experiences you can have! I love the dial color and the cool solid caseback with Poseidon engraving. As always, great review!

I really want this watch. I prefer bracelets but I dont know why but I hate the look of the Seamaster bracelets. Only reason I haven't bought one yet :(

I also had the great white and now own the summer blue. I also dislike the OEM bracelet. Get the Omega steel mesh strap in the proper (shortest) length that works for you (S/M/L to minimize overhang), and it really sings. This watch IRL is an absolute stunner… like drop dead gorgeous beautiful. If you’ve ever dived, the dial looks like looking up through water at the sky.

@@raymondha7699I've thought about getting the Omega mesh strap. I own a nice Staib mesh bracelet and tried it on the Seamaster and it looked awesome. Again, I don't have a problem with the OEM bracelet. I like the light-play and how it dresses up the watch. But with the rubber strap, it just disappears on wrist as far as comfort! You are right about drop dead gorgeous. I've owned a lot of watches, including a newer 41mm Sub. I've never gotten a compliment or barely a second glance with the Rolex. In the 4 months I've owned this Summer Blue Seamaster, I've gotten 3 random compliments and tons of second glances (all while wearing the bracelet). Cheers!

I really like this watch, the fume dial is epic along with the light cyan plots and bezel markers. Someone clearly thought about this at Omega and definitely made the right choice. I also have the Great White SMP300M and might still purchase it over this model but I've yet to see it in real life. I'm sort of OK with the closed case back but like you I would prefer an exhibition case back to see that brilliant 8800 movement but how often do I feel the need to look at it? Another cracking quick review Harrison (as always) and thanks for sharing.

Lol, I’m in the exact same boat as you. I have the white dial myself, but I love the color blue and this watch is absolutely stunning. I actually saw it at an Omega boutique today, and it’s just beautiful. I too just wish it had an open case back, but least they made up for it with the cool design on the back. It would have been cool if they found away to incorporate elements of that design onto the regular exhibition back though.

For a blue 42mm blue diver, in terms of aesthetics, the clean dial and the case of the FXD M.N just triumphs this omega. I’d prefer the co-axial movement though but in terms of design it’s the FXD for me.

Four strap options if you include the deployment clasp rubber strap because you have to buy a full new strap. The clasp won't fit on the standard rubber one, unfortunately.

Nice review! I am torn between summer blue (with rubber) and classic blue (on bracelet). Had them both next to each other yesterday and I have to say the summer blue dial, being metallic, really made the classic blue look bland and uninteresting compared.

The water resistance depth rating made with pressure tests is accurate enough given that the effective tests are higher than the quoted rating. The higher effective test pressure provide a safety margin which much more than compensate for the sea water salinity, temperature and arms movements whilst swimming / diving… And in any case, 300 m depth résistance is plenty. The open case back does not show much other than mainplates and bridges… so I much prefer a plain back. I would have a dilemma if I was buying a calibre 321 though… Omega is not too bad; ne bad me loon !

Pretty certain if it says 300m WR, it’s good to 300m or more actually based on ISO ratings. It’s only watches that are rated at 30m, 50m, etc that are not actually capable of going to that depth. It’s ISO 6425 - any watch ISO certified has to be safe to 125% of its rating as a safety buffer for the user.

Beautiful. Tried one with the intention of buying but the legibility just isn't enough for me. My NTTD isn't great in low light so I don't need that with another watch. Much prefer the Seaweed.

To be fair low light visibility isn’t really an issue with this watch, the polished silver hands really stand out in low light but I agree with you on the NTTD mine’s terrible in low light, them titanium hands are just too dark for that brown dial and it is hard to quickly glance at the time when the lighting isn’t great, it puts me off wearing sometimes and I would much prefer the older sword hands with bigger lume plots on the NTTD I think that would have helped with visibility

I don't think the blue on this rubber strap matches the colours of the watch much. Just my opinion. I can't tell what blue would go with this, but just somehow a bit boring using this navy blue while the rest of the watch has phenomenal vibrant blues.

Hi I got this too on Christmas Eve! A few questions since I’m not an expert and this was my first luxury watch (my watch was bought from omega boutique). - Should I be able to hear the ticking? ( I do) - if I were to shake the watch slightly I can sometimes hear like a noise which is hard to explain. Kind of like something is lose in there, is this normal? The watch is keeping time well

If you put it close to your ear you will hear it ticking quite quickly but not like a quartz. It's also normal to hear the rotor wheel spin around when the watch moves, this helps keep the watch winding. You can see this on an open caseback standard version.

its the rotor wheel spinning it recharges the watch for more power so its normal mine is the sedna gold version. enjoy your watch and wash it with a toothbrush everyday with a small drop of antibacterial hand wash back and front keep it clean dry it with a hairblower and it will shine like new better than a rolex everyday.

It's a really nice watch in person however the text on the dial disappears under certain lighting due to the sunburst effect. This is similar to the silver/blue version which put me off it.
