As a owner of the Blue SMP300, it’s important to know that the blue changes colour with lighting conditions. In harsh direct light it’s a fun light blue and in most indoor conditions it looks almost navy. I went to buy white and ended up with blue. Also completely agree that the green is much darker than the press photos! Currently wearing my 90’s Omega Dynamic 3.

The blue drew me in and the blue is what i got. And i love switching between the bracelet and rubber strap (i got both) as it makes it feel like a new watch every time you switch back and forth. Each have their uses and they make the blue stand out in different ways. Plus the blue itself changes with the lighting conditions. To me, its one watch that has many looks and thats what i love about it.

Finally pulled the trigger on buying this watch .. dilemma was black or blue.. opted for the blue on blue rubber strap.. Absolutely love this piece.. most KZbin reviewers complain on helium escape valve and skeleton hands.. in fact upon use I felt those features are the differentiators. love the depth on the dial with the wave pattern and dial markers.

And your videos are one of the reasons when I chose to go with the Omega Seamaster 300M last month. You are absolutely right about the color of these watches. For me, Blue was the first choice. But when I tried the watch on my wrist, I went for the Grey one. And GUESS WHAT? As a proud owner of a ceramic white, ceramic black and sedna, and two blue aluminum (one being a 40th anniversary Bond) SMPs I can say I love them all. The white is my favorite as the dial provides a clear view of the time (black hands on the white dial) and when the light hits it right the dial almost has a mother of pearl look to it. Harrison, I do enjoy your videos and as a lifetime Bond fan, your affinity with Bond and Omega. My first luxury watch was the Goldeneye SMP bought in 2006 and still runs faultlessly. A year later I picked up a Casino Royale Planet Ocean. These days the latter resides on an Omega NATO like yours as its half the price of the fragile rubber OEM strap. Keep up the good work!

I love my grey dial SMP 300m Chronograph. Something about the grey dial in general. Looks so different in the flesh compared to the rendered images. With the addition of the blue sub dials, it’s absolutely gorgeous. For me, Omega’s best watch £ for £. I paired it with the blue OEM rubber bought via Chisholm Hunter incidentally. Really prefer the rubber for everyday like you said. 😎

Harrison, it would be great to see a video on the process of selling a watch and everything that goes with it; timeline, fees, etc. I’ve been delaying buying a Seamaster in hopes that Omega would update it with a few things like an improved reserve, a better feeling bezel, tapered bracelet and maybe even a smaller dial size. I don’t think any of that is happening in the next year or two since the seamaster was only updated in either 2018 or 2019. At this point I’m thinking of buying the white model and then selling when it’s eventually updated. So it would be good to have an understanding of what to expect when trying to sell a watch.

I'm currently wearing the previous gen 41mm black seamaster ! I love it even more than the 42mm one in the video, as it's thinner, smaller and more wearable. The bezel isn't as crisp as the current gen one though.. and the lume for the new one is brighter/more blue

Same - I prefer the simpler and cleaner looks of the previous generation 41mm watch as a more versatile watch. Can wear in any meeting/setting. Have to be more cautious with my new gen green 42 mm SM. Both are great watches.

It was interesting to hear your views on the 300M Harrison. As a fellow 'Great White' owner I cannot disagree with the points made. The main point you make has to be you really need to see these models in the flesh to appreciate how good they are. I totally dismissed the wave dial from the photographs online yet when I was at an AD some years ago I saw one in the flesh and was frankly astounded how much different it looked. Some time later I could justify one so I went for the 'Great White'.

Got my camo casioak on this morning for Sunday choring but swapping to the grand seiko sbgw287 boshū when I go out with wife and baby later. Also the blue is for suee the best seller due to it being the original Bond blue that made it such a hot watch to wear. That's why I got the blue dial. But if I didn't get the blue then I would have gotten the white just like you. However I do find the silver underappreciated and not as popular as the other dials. I personally love the silver/blue combo due to it being united states air force colors, and I work for the air force. But I still went classic blue.

I own the Green and Blue SMP300, always a dilemma in the morning as to which to wear for the day, The green is really subtle and almost black n some lights and feels very mature discrete and grown up whereas the blue feels more sporty and looks great when suited and booted. Both on bracelet which I think most have mixed feelings about but is great for me. Would love to wear on NATO but it does stand out to far from my wrist for me.
