In my opinion, venturing into a good investment is not just a strategy for generating passive income but a profitable saving method for future expenses. Those who fail to make the right decisions early in life end up regretting it. When he says work like hell, he’s talking about people that have passions & are barely starting up there business’s or careers. A lot of you think he’s talking about your 9 - 5’s lol, who ever is hating on this dude is obviously not happy with themselves. Hate is within yourself remember that.
@David-_-_-4 жыл бұрын
I think you just need to look at the bigger picture. He has multiple failed marriages. Barely sees his children. Has been on the verge of a nervous break down for the last 5 years straight. Most people actually just value things outside of work more. Wife, Kids, Family, mental health :) They work hard - just on things outside of business they find more important.
@annon-4 жыл бұрын
David Marshall I agree! If you’re happy at where you are at in life then you are winning and I have nothing to say to you. If you’re not and want to make a change. Some people come to videos like this to remind them not to give up and work hard on their passion or career to achieve the goal or life they vision for themselves.
@David-_-_-4 жыл бұрын
@Small Dolphin I just personally see this as one of the most unhealthy and destructive mindsets in society today. Just work till you fall over. It's not about helping society - it's about individuals wanting public fame and celebrity. For every 1 Elon Musk there are 50 burnt out nervous breakdowns. There is a balance to everything and meniacal personal ambition isn't healthy
@David-_-_-4 жыл бұрын
@Small Dolphin So your comment has basically proved what I'm talking about. If you had paced yourself better. Spent more time resting and relaxing (not consuming), "being" as opposed to working you likely never would have encountered the chronic health issues you did (look up what the word chronic means). You would have been able to sustain your work effort far longer - its a marathon not a sprint. How was that productivity when you had serious health issues ? Zero right. Any short term gains you made from overworking were quickly lost. You could have been productive longer. You would have had a healthier and calmer state of being which would have made your more efficient and effective when you did work. You would have been able to sustain healthier human relationships and life balance. The tag line Work every waking hour is just insanity. It looks good on instagram but is just a recipe for the exact type of chronic break down you described. Throw in broken marriages, alienated children and a midlife crisis. Maybe even starting a relationship with a 20 year younger immature girl to gloss over the fact you couldn't keep a real relationship. (see Elon Musk) Humans aren't robots designed to work every waking hour ..... though with Elon I'll admit it is debatable whether he could really be a robot. Severe asperges at best .
@David-_-_-4 жыл бұрын
@Small Dolphin Did you listen to anything Elon says in the clip ? Do 80-100 hour weeks ...... every week. Your trying to twist his words into something reasonable and what he is saying clearly isn't reasonable or intelligent. Also genes and genetic issues aren't as simple as that unfortunately. They are like weakness in a structure .... which when excessive stress is applied to can express themselves. Just do a quick google on "How stress effects your genes" You might be suprised to find your health issues were not a foregone conclusion and while genes play a part - your lifestyle was actually the biggest determining factor. Read the causes for Hypergonadism - elevated stress is like point 1 as it is for nearly every chronic illness. My comments are all based around the way Elon Musk - who is the primar example used - works and runs his companies. He basically treats employees as slaves and has them working to breaking point for years on end. Its a sprint all the time. Simply treating them as disposable and churning through new ones as needed. There is nothing sustainable or advisable in his work model in terms of the human capital cost and the effects it has on the health and wellbeing of the people and wider society. Look at the world right now and especially the USA. The work till you drop motto has given the society a collective stress disorder. Politics are breaking down. Social unrest rising. The mentality is so toxic and unhealthy and the effects of this type of unsustainable work work work ideology are clear to see. The weaknesses are beginning to express themselves in society due to continually elevated stress. We need to pivot away from this insane mentality. Also I'm not a conservative - not a progressive. I'm a centralist with no party alignment. I advocate for balance of the two opposing dictomies into an integrated collaboration of both. I'm against "extremism" at either end of the spectrum - and this motto is about as extreme as you can get.

100 hours a week is 6000 minutes. That's 4 out of 7 full days of effort; or 850 minutes per day, which is 14 hours per day. I also estimated the time I've put last week into my passion (game development). Even with my free time given by the current corona virus epidemic... I clocked less than 30 hours in 1 week. I had to do the numbers twice. It was less than 30 hours. I'm doing 1/3 of what is required of me to reach my dreams. And I thought I was going hard. And I had all these excuses of "if only I had free time" (that now I have). Yet this gets me fired the fuck up cause now I know. Now I know that there is so much left in me. I will put my everything. I'm want to do the numbers again next week. More importantly, I want and will put my everything.

Remember to keep track of how much you’re getting done on top of how long you’re working. At a certain point, it’s more beneficial to rest than to keep working. Yet, I know you can do more if you’ve calculated that you’re at 30 hours. This article applies to more than weightlifting: mythicalstrength.blogspot.com/2017/05/how-long-do-you-train.html?m=1
@blo0mfilter8684 жыл бұрын
@@colewarren7020 agreed. I used the forest app to track the time spent on my goals as well as my day job (software engineer) and realized how easy it is to spend 50% of your week (ignoring the time spent on your sleep) doing nothing: I spent most of my time getting lost on the internet, downloading movies and TV series/anime of which most of them I dont even end up watching, and playing counter strike. Since then I managed to convince a buddy at work to sign up for an MMA gym with me (because back then I was too much of a pussy to do it on my own), reading books on investing and business, and attending meetups for startups. Later I launched my first profitable business. Dont want to go too specific on it and dox myself but it's an online platform like khan academy to prep students for college admission tests. It works because it's focused on my country (our test prep industry is not as developed as countries like US and India). Because I suck at shit like math, I went to freelancing sites and paid a bunch of teachers from 3rd world countries who are willing to write thousands of questions with in depth explanations to solutions on them and uploaded it to the site. I've since sold it and am now moving to something else.
