My Mom took my brother and myself to the theater to watch this when it was first released in 1968. I have a difficult time watching this because it reminds me of my Mom.

I didn’t have a chance to watch until I was a HS senior. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong generation

We (Gen. X) remember “Chitty Chitty… being on ONCE each year. You missed it & you had to wait again for a year (Sort of like “Wizard Of Oz”)! Nowadays, kids enjoy(?) instant gratification. I dunno’, it was more like a holiday of sorts then. We’d plan, days in advance, & it was more of an EXPERIENCE than just a viewing! I miss those things. 🙁 Gadzooks!, I sound like my parents did when they’d reminisce about listening to their favorite radio dramas. Shi**! I’M old! 🙏👍🤟

One of my favorite early childhood movies. Watched it since I was 3. Still dream of riding that car.

This was a fantasmagorical piece of my childhood! No idea how many times I've seen it, it still brings back memories.

I watched this at an age where the surreal nature of the film actually terrified me.... The the childcatcher arrives: scarred for life.

When I first saw this classic, I didn’t expect to fall in love with it! I thought it would take just the songs to win me over. But man I was wrong?

If I'd seen this trailer before I saw the move, I don't think I'd have wanted to see the movie. Which would have been a travesty, its a truly wonderful film.

I saw another trailer of it before watching it. Couldn’t stop me from giving it a try

The fact it can flew is a MAJOR spoiler. It’s supposed to be very dramatic watching it go over the cliff. I’ve heard there was actually an intermission at that point too.
@Goatcha_M4 ай бұрын
@@SimonFrack Oh yes, it's included in the DVD edition and it really breaks the flow as after the intermission it replays the last couple of minutes prior to it going over, not just picking up after the cliffhanger. Especially irritating too as the old VHS didn't include the pointless Intermission.
