This was one of the best albums around at the time and still hasn't appeared on CD. I believe it to be owned by Ed Welch who was the producer. Recorded at CTS, London. Like John Barry's 'The Concert' it was re-recorded especially for album. The opening is 'Position & Positioning' from 'The Slipper & The Rose' - the first part of which was used as the theme for BBC Radio 2's 'Star Sound (Extra) on Mondays and Thursdays in the 70s and 80s. Then one of the best racks on the album - along with Barry Gray's 'Pinewood In Space' medley: 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang': 'Truly Scrumptious' / 'Me 'Ol Bamboo' / 'Hushabye Mountain' / 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. STUPENDOUS STUFF!!! More please!

This is the ONLY recording of the event. It was not televised that year due to an ITV strike.😂

I wonder what it would take to get this *superb* album released on CD? It pains me to hear this great music but not be able to play it on a CD.😀
