Is dagger the recommended weapon?

In my opinion the dagger is the best weapon for the ambusher. Its special attack does an INSANE amount of damage, especially when backstabbing. But the short sword is much easier to use, particularly in 1vx situations. So if you're struggling with the dagger I would recommend using the short sword until you get a good feeling for this subclass.
