This should be required viewing for all the new naturals that don't have loose hair. The ones who ask girls like Jasmine "what do you put in your hair to make it curly because mine won't curl like that". Love your hair and your hair texture because you can't make it something else. Great video Chizi!

I disagree. You can make your hair look anyway you want it to. How hard it is and how long it takes to accomplish just depends on where you start off and where you want to go. I have a hair texture similar to Jasmines all I wanted for years was an Angela Davis style fro and I found a way to create that. By all means love your hair, but I think it should be ok to try a different look from time to time. That said using Jasmines technique is not going to change your hair texture.

undetestable1 Have to disagree, some of us have limits to what our hair can do. You can only work with what you have. You need to appreciate how your hair differs from someone else’s, then you can do an interpretation

For all the people claiming this video as “self deprecating”, this is my takeaway😂I’ve been about 3 years natural now and Chizi is pretty much my hair twin. I feel like everyone who started off their natural journey, and went into the KZbin tutorials knowing absolute shit about their hair type has clicked on a tutorial that was not meant for them and attempted it because they just didn’t know better. And I find that this video is just a sort of half wit and humorous dedication to that. And if someone hasn’t ever done that it would be interesting to see how different hair types react! It ain’t that serious sis, Chizi doesn’t hate her hair type...✌️

Are you okay? 🤔Like it’s not that serious and the “I tried following..” videos are intended to be funny/ comical. They’re done for the viewers entertainment not because any of these youtubers are actually going out and doing these tutorials in their daily lives. Like chill out and just enjoy the video.

For example jasmine said one of the products was thick she had to add on "its not that thick" obviously it won't be to you your hair is thicker. Also she said "no one uses a micro fiber towel" okayy not because u don't means other people don't. I just found the made a lot of unnecessary comments that came off as shade. As someone with 3B hair I found this hilarious 🤣. Once I started to get more into hair I wanted to try doing other people’s hair who happen to have different texture. I always knew that everyone didn’t have the same texture as me but didn’t think that they requieres different methods and hair products as me. Once I started doing my friends 4 A,B,C texture hair and began to realize “scrunching” isn’t for everyone 😂 and neither is the curl enhancing smoothie 😂. I loved this video! 🤣

@user-vu8zy1pu3v4 жыл бұрын
@@shenii6512 Not for people with very low porosity hair, our cuticles would be absorbed by water not letting that much product absorb and it'll just sit on top. So yh i agree squeeze it out or do it on damp hair
@jackjack-th9eq4 жыл бұрын
@@user-vu8zy1pu3v That's not true though. Low porosity hair has a hard time absorbing moisture, so having simply damp hair is not enough. You need to have it wet, like fresh out of the shower or continuously applying water throughout your styling process. Having more water actually makes it easier for the products to penetrate your hair follicles. Curly hair in general thrives on water because that's how the curls activate
@freemindsloveforever6 жыл бұрын
Funny stuff with a serious point to boot...your right not all curls are created equal (in structure)! I recognised late into adulthood that my 3a curls needed products that catered only to it's type. I find these videos so funny and relatable when I first became natural about 4-5 years ago I knrw nothing about hair and I was the only person in my family with natural hair so of course I went to KZbin to watch tutorials and get some help. At that time I was 13 so of course I didn’t know the difference between hair types and just clicked on the most viewed video which is usually somebody with a looser natural hair texture. I tried all different types of wash n gos and twist outs while using the same products they recommend and it always came out looking a HOT MESS. Eventually I did my own research and found tutorials with people with my hair texture and got products that actually work for me. Now I be slaying the natural hair game but this video brings up the beginning of my journey and I loved that you did it even though it was done for humor. Don’t listen to haters we know why you did it and that you have no problem with your hair texture. You got yourself a new subscriber.
