Absolutely agree with you here. If he can stay focused in the mind his arrows always do the talking and could well win it. I’m sick of hearing MVG never turned up even from himself, almost discrediting Chizzy that, Chizzy would have beat him anyway. The white wash was the incredible achievement and should not be overshadowed by MVG Tear 4 performance 😢!!

E.g. he only noticed that Razma was on a 9-darter against Gary Anderson when he had already thrown 7 perfect darts because he went for T19 so much. He drifts off to such pointless things all the time and clearly doesn't know his darts. So it's no surprise he didn't see why the 141 was special.

@@sparx1992 I've been watching televised darts since the Jocky Wilson, Bob Anderson days of the 80s, and played competition in the 70s. I admit it was one of the most satisfying games I've ever watched. Defo not the best, or most exciting. For that, both players have to be on fire. MVG was very poor. It was only the best game if you are a member of the Chizzy family or a personal friend. Makes the semis and final much more interesting with MVG gone. I would like either Chizzy or Gazza to win, followed closely by Peter Griffin (Wish he could do that laugh lol) but even a Price win would really run salt in the wound for MVG as he would not only lose his title but his number one ranking too

Never seen Chisnall throwing darts like this. If he can keep it up, the title is his! Although I'm Dutch, I don't really support MvG. He's phenomenal, sure, and tonight he showed he can be a good sport, but I don't like the way he throws (bending over, pushing) and his attitude is controversial. Belittling other players and always standing too close to the opponent, come on man, give them some space. Chisnall walked into him once during the match when he stepped back and of course, there he was, MvG in your face!

Easily Dave's greatest performance on television and I thought MVG played well, not great, but well. Yes MVG is a much better player than Dave, but what this shows is that MVG can be taken if his opponent can play at an extremely high level and remain consistent. Now I am just hoping that Dave doesn't pull a Mardle and have the game of his life and then have a shocker next game. You used to see that during the Taylor years. 'The Power' would get beaten and then whoever it was that took him out totally forgot how to play the sport the next game.
