No; he died due to a heart attack on Monday, March 22, 1993. See, he was in Savannah, GA doing a live concert, and on the day of his passing, he was in the airport on his way back to Mississippi when he unfortunately suffered a heart attack that ended up taking his life.

The memories this brings be back are simply amazing. I remember as a little kid riding in the back of the family car on a sunday morning going to bethesda tabernacle apostolic church with this blaring through the speakers. These songs form the bases of TRUE gospel music and salvation. It ashame what the GOSPEL industry has downgraded to. But thank thanks be to God for songs like this these that can take you back to the cross and allows you to ponder on God and who he really is the lion and lamb.

This is one of my all time most favorite songs. I absolutely love this song. I used to pray to this song. Anytime I was going thru I would sing the words to this song. I eventually song this in church. And I must say that even to me that's the best God has allowed me to sing. That was when I was about 30, now I am 46 and God still moves me when I hear this song. I don't sing too much anymore but I will be singing this song in church pretty soon.God truely moves.

This is one of my favorite songs from the MMC, when I was 19 y/o I lost my mom and the choir song this song as they carried her casket out of the church. It reminds me of my mom resting in peace, and my grandmother whom I lost at the age of 25. I cry every time I hear it, with joy in my heart knowing that they are at resting at peace and knowing that makes it well with my soul,

This takes me back to the early 70s when a large & beautiful black Gospel choir performed for us at a Middle School assembly in my integrated, but mostly white school - and changed my life forever.
