Cameron Post (Chloë Grace Moretz) looks the part of a perfect high school girl. But after she's caught with another girl in the back seat of a car on prom night, Cameron is quickly shipped off to a conversion therapy center that treats teens "struggling with same-sex attraction." At the facility, Cameron is subjected to outlandish discipline, dubious "de-gaying" methods, and earnest Christian rock songs-but this unusual setting also provides her with an unlikely gay community. For the first time, Cameron connects with peers, and she's able to find her place among fellow outcasts. I thought the sex scenes in Blue is the warmest colour really sucked and lacked of feeling and story. In The miseducation of Cameron Post, as the director says "the subjective view" is really better, much more realistic - portrays what lesbians really do with each other not just those who portray lesbian sex in porn. This turns me on 100% more than any portrayal of 1000 strange sex positions.

I’m not religious but I was raised in the church and the problem I have is that everyone acts like conversion therapy is coming from a place of hate. It’s truly not. I completely understand how one could think that if you have no experience with religion. When you truly believe the Bible, you quite literally think you are saving people from hell. You are willing to do anything to save others from what you think will be a terrible fate. Trying to change someone’s behavior in such an extreme way as sending them to conversion therapy may be born of ignorance but the intention is born out of love. I’m not saying it’s right or it doesn’t have terrible consequences but it’s not born out of hate. Only misunderstanding.

It's horrible that this is still a grey area. It should be illegal to brainwash young children from some extremist religion parents. The only thing i believe in is science. In the bible is a lot of crap written down. How should you (for example on eastern kill a sheep) do these things today? Torturing animals is a crime today. What good things brought any religion ever? So many wars were fought under the name of god. Here in bavaria we had a scandel from reaping referends in a school-cloister. It's good to believe in something and get a stand in life. But it should always be with some common sense.

TrixM I think that yes, it’s morally wrong and repugnant. I don’t think hateful is the right word though. They care about people in their own way and even though the consequences are terrible, a hateful person wouldn’t care about someone’s “soul”.

TrixM I only say this stuff because we’re all so divided right now and we all assume we hate each other if we don’t agree. I’ve seen things from both perspectives and I feel like there is a lot of love in the intention, although the end result is a person being controlled, changed, and mentally burdened. It’s a mess but I just felt it’s important to clarify that Christians don’t hate people, they honestly believe they’re saving them.
